IS THERE REALLY A NEED TO VOTE IN UGANDA?🤔
The Presidential elections are set for next year, 2021 and we have a hint of which people will be trying to get their hands on that seat, Bobi Wine and Museveni.
It is expected to be a heated campaign between the two sides, The NRM and People Power who are both showcasing massive support from the people. But should we really vote?
Recently, according to NBS and NTV, and according to the people in charge, they'll need 7 billion UGX for the swearing in of the president next year, yes 7 billion, we don't know where that money will come from.
On top of that, the government wans 518 billion or so, in debts to facilitate elections next year, that's more money that the common man will pay in taxes and we, Ugandans will keep on being poor.
In addition to that, when they announced that 7 billion would be needed to swear in the President, it's like they already knew Museveni had won. So why should we vote? Why are we wasting our time getting IDs?
According to me, the 518billion for the elections qill probably be "chewed" amongst the top committee and guess what, we the poor are going to pay for a debt that never did anything functional.
The Ugandan government will keep on making us broke until we see no other choice but to hustle and loo for food. When poverty kicks in, people don't care about who's in power, people just want to make it through to the next day, so do you really think this government has us in mind.
Why don't we just let Museveni retire in his seat instead of us paying debts for him? We really do need change, don't we?
