“SURRENDER. Dismantle Your Ego.”
How incredible is @lisamay.coaching? Once again I’d love to say a huge THANK YOU LISA for coming on the pod, using your experience to guide and shepherd the world towards self love and who you’ve been to me. I love you and watching you live in your light is beautiful to experience. I can’t wait to fly you into an OTM Retreat and watch students participate in a healing shesh 😉.
You are ON THE MATTERR girl! Keep Up the Great work!
Did you know that the attachment style you formed between ages 0-3 can significantly impact the kind of relationships you find yourself in as an adult?
Did you also know that you (yes, you) can break past cycles of self-sabotaging and toxic relationships at any stage of your life?
In this episode, I speak with Self-love embodiment Coach Lisa May Francisco. She shared how her quest to understand herself better led her to her life's purpose: to guide others to break free from their relationship patterns and self-sabotaging behavior by diving deeper into their spiritual practices. ENJOY! Keep up with Lisa @lisamay.coaching

“There is no traffic on the extra mile!”
Hi folks! Miss me?
I’m not going to lie, I’ve been living my best life (deets to come), so much so that I mentally exited 2021 and already started making excuses for 2022 (again deets to come).🤣
However in my space “chop and sleep”, this episode came on and Emeka’s quote reminded me that I still have 7 days in 2021. And while everyone else may be checked out of 2021 (and that’s completely okay), I can do the bare minimum and be placed so much farther than everyone else in 2022. So with that is this post for whoever needs it! 😁
Thank you so much Emeka for sharing your incredible story and giving me the kick in the butt I needed to get off and get on my Matterr!
Happy Christmas Eve, Loves!
In this snippet, check out how @robs10kfriends started the Robs 10K friends project.
“Collaboration is the essence of life and collaborators are the tools of success.”
Shoutout to my homie @kblumusic ! Thank you so much, Kerry for sharing your story of persistence with me and everyone in the #OTMCommunity. Your talent is a true gift from God and I know the Grammy and Billboard awards are coming in due time! You are ON THE MATTERR!!!!
HAPPY NEW EPISODE MONDAY!
On the pod this week, I am blessed to speak with a staple in the NYC music and art scene: Kerry Blu!
Kerry grew up performing in the youth step team of his church. He went to college intending to study pre-med but realized that work needed to succeed in the field didn't connect with him.
Today, he is a singer, songwriter, and the founder of the Empire State Music & Arts Festival. Having opened for Tory Lanez, Kota the Friend, and Dave East in prestigious venues such as New York's The Knitting Factory and The Bowery Electric, Kerry has garnered thousands of streams and connected with audiences all over the world! His latest album, "The Game is the Game," broke 5000+ plays in its first two weeks, and Kerry Blu shows no signs of slowing down!
Kerry shares his growing journey, self-realization, and careful observation, portraying the world he encounters through raw and honest lyricism. ENJOY!
Keep up with Kerry on IG at @kerryblumusic and @empirestatemusicfest and download his new album at https://www.kblumusic.org
I’m on such a #Thanksgivingweek high and there’s no way I can think of the things I am grateful for without thinking of my podcast and this community!!!
YOU make me better! THANK YOU ALL so much for your endless support and encouragement! Check out this snippet to see how thankful I am!
@jeraldwatsonphoto’s OTM quote is pulled from a poem from Khalil Gibran title “On Pain”. The part he read is below:
“Your pain is the breaking of the shell that encloses your understanding…It is the bitter potion by which the physician within you heals your sick self. Therefore trust the physician, and drink his remedy in silence and tranquility”
Thank you so much Jerald. One of my friend said this conversation was the “intersectionality between urbanization and black history in America” and I am so humbled to had have you educate us! You are ON THE MATTERR!
“Put me anywhere on God’s green earth, I’ll triple my Worth”
Even though this conversation started out very different from the others (this is the first time I had a guest who had beef with me), it ended on such a high note filled with love, laughter and mutual respect. 😁
To that end, I’ll love to say, THANK YOU SO MUCH for my personal person @stilltobz for your endless love and support! I will you all the greatness I wish myself and more and look forward to all of the great things you are going to do! You are ON THE MATTERR!
On the podcast this week is one of my dearest friends in the world: Tochukwu Onyebuchi.
Tobz grew up in Enugu, Nigeria being a problem child and trouble maker (his words, not mine). So much so that his parents sent him off to the UK to make something of himself. A decision that has definitely paid off immensely because today, not only he is a successful Civil Engineer (who has worked on major projects in the industry) but he is also the founder and one of the hosts of the Fresh Off The Boat Podcast!
This conversation covers some of our fondest memories of our lives back home, Tochukwu’s brutally honest story about his transition to his new life in the UK and how he came to create and grow his podcast!
Keep up with Tobz on IG @stilltobz and his podcast @freshofftheboatpodcast. His podcast is also available on YouTube at https://youtube.com/c/FOTBNetwork ENJOY!
“In God I live, I move, I have my Being”
Whew. Sometimes I honestly can’t believe I live the life I live now. I can’t believe I created a platform where powerful people come on, share their journeys and drop wisdom. People invite me to events and I watch them live out their dreams in real time. I get messages and calls about how this space is needed and people encourage me to stay On my #Matterr. I spoke to a TEDx Speaker and he is now my friend. But it is my life and I am grateful for it. So yes, in God, I live, I move, I have my being.
@errololton Thank you! Thank you for this conversation. Thank you for the career advice. Thank you for cracking us up while sharing your light. You brought church to OTM and shut it down! I appreciate you and everything that you do. YOU ARE ON THE MATTERR!
