* ১৯৭১ সালের ৩ মার্চ সারাদেশে হরতাল পালিত হওয়ার সময় রংপুরে পুলিশের গুলিতে নিহত হন শঙ্কু সমজদার । মুক্তিযোদ্ধা হিসেবে তার নাম গেজেটভুক্ত। তাকেই মুক্তিযুদ্ধের প্রথম শহীদ হিসেবে অভিহিত করা হয়।

*মুন্সি আব্দুর রউফ মুক্তিযুদ্ধের প্রথম শহিদ বীরশ্রেষ্ঠ। তিনি ৮ এপ্রিল ১৯৭১ রাঙামাটি জেলার নানিয়ার চর উপজেলায় শহিদ হন। মুক্তিযুদ্ধের শেষ শহিদ বীরশ্রেষ্ঠ ক্যাপ্টেন মহিউদ্দিন জাহাঙ্গীর। তিনি শহিদ হন ১৪ ডিসেম্বর ১৯৭১ চাঁপাইনবাবগঞ্জে ।

Civil engineering is one of the most popular subjects in the world. There are many subdisciplines, like structural engineering, geotechnical engineering, transportation engineering, water supply engineering, and environmental engineering. If anyone wants to go for higher study abroad, he can easily get a scholarship from a reputable university around the world. Job opportunities are higher than in other subjects. There is the available government job for this subject. It is high time to choose Civil Engineering department for a BSc in Civil Engineering.
