As you may already be aware, the second most held currency in the global economy is the European Union's Euro which was introduced in 1999 followed by the Chinese Yuan which was declared as an official World Reserve Currency by the IMF in 2016.
However, these currencies have not been able to dethrone the US dollar as the most preferred currency in international trade settlements and that's why we believe BRICS members have a lot to do for their anticipated common currency dubbed 'BRICS Dollar' to ultimately challenge the US dollar.
For starters, it's said that the common currency that BRICS economies are planning to introduce will be backed by gold.

'The Thinker' in Auguste Rodin's 'Gates of Hell' monumental sculptural group at the Musée Rodin.

In the Gates of Hell, The Thinker, also called The Poet, is located above the door panels.

One interpretation suggests that The Thinker might represent Dante Alighieri looking down to the characters in the Inferno, from Divine Comedy poem.

Another interpretation is that The Thinker is Rodin himself meditating about his composition.

Others believe that the figure may be Adam, contemplating the destruction brought upon mankind because of his sin.

Auguste Rodin's inspiration for 'Gates of Hell' was Dante Alighieri's Inferno part of the Divine Comedy poem.

Model citizens in China are those who denounce the same and respect the sanctity of a traditional family setup.

"I want to tell our brothers who think that we are going to take the route that they had previously taken that they're mistaken.

They are telling us to subsidize maize flour and yet in their time, they used 8 billion shillings to subsidize the same but the flour never reached the intended people.

I want to tell them that we are not like you. We know how to organise issues, whereby as you were for subsidizing maize flour that didn't reach common citizens, we on the contrary are going to use that 8 billion shillings to subsidize production, for us to have at least 6 million bags of maize so that we may lower the cost of food.

Our competitors must know that we have a different approach. Whereas they are for subsidizing consumption, we are for investing in production.

Mr Mohamed, who previously served as the Director of the Internal Affairs Unit of the National Police Service, takes over from Mr George Kinoti who resigned last month.

The appointment of the new DCI Director is contained in Gazette No. 213 of October 14th, 2022.
