Does anyone know anything about, or have had contact with "Guest 5196"? I got a message from them on FB this morning saying that they are going to "permanently delete" my (this) FB page, claiming that a post has somehow infringed on some "trademark" of theirs. Not having posted anything lately (and certainly not having posted anything with any sort of trademark cited) I can't see how there could be any such issue. . . .

Did you know...
In the past, horses played a significant role in New Year's celebrations in various cultures around the world. In ancient Rome, for example, horses were adorned with decorative ribbons and paraded through the city as part of the New Year festivities. The Romans believed that this would bring good luck and prosperity for the coming year. Similarly, in medieval Europe, it was common to see horses as a prominent feature in New Year processions and festivals.

Furthermore, in some Asian cultures such as China and Vietnam, horses have been used symbolically during New Year's celebrations to represent strength, endurance, and fortune. In these traditions, people often dress up as horses or create horse-themed decorations to usher in auspiciousness for the upcoming year. By incorporating horses into their New Year rituals, these societies aimed to invoke positive energy and blessings from these powerful creatures. Overall, the historical use of horses in past New Year's celebrations sheds light on how different cultures have revered these majestic animals as symbols of good fortune and prosperity.

Supposedly, someone named "Helen SP Enterprises" is waiting for an answer to me about some question or another. However, I can't seem to find/access any Message from this person/company. Please Message me again, if need be, or maybe just put your question as a comment here. . . .

"Hi, all. Since last year, I’ve been working on digitizing our old horse show master recordings - having so far completed NHS, NEEC, IEA, IHSA, and CHJA - and am planning to offer the full sets for sale to the show organizations. The intent is to preserve horse show history well into the future. Digitized Masters can be easily stored, and will include copies of all paper records for ease of access, reference, and editing.

It has also occurred to me, however, that some of our long-time customers may have the means and interest in making the archive purchase for a favorite show outright, and then donating the material to the show and taking the appropriate charitable tax deduction/s. Or, perhaps teaming with the show or other friends to make the total purchase and donating your portion/s.

If this sounds interesting to you, please DM me for more information! I can also be emailed directly or through the "Contact Us" portion on our website - http://www.TheEPCoGroup.com

With the CHJA Finals (horse show) basically right around the corner now, I am sorry to say that our company, The EPCo Group/Equine Production Company, will NOT be there this year, providing the video coverage of all the classes - the first time in about 15 or more years (except for 2020, when the show was cancelled due to the pandemic.)
There are several reasons for our absence, but the best of them is that Ashley and her husband, Owen, are expecting their first child in January. Standing out in the hot, humid weather, operating the camera all day long, climbing up and down from the car-camera station and trudging up to our base tent with completed recordings - just didn't seem like a good idea! (And other people experienced with the operation were unavailable to join me.)
We wish everyone the best of luck and will miss seeing everyone in Westport! Stay safe, and hopefully we will be able to join you again in 2024!

Does anyone see any reason why I should really bother digitizing all of the master videos from the 2003 Ox Ridge June Horse Show? The Grand Prix, sure - but anyone likely to be looking for misc. hunter, pony, or other such footage???

I haven't shared any Musical Openings lately, so here is the one from the 2017 Talent Search (East.)

Can anyone think of any reason why I should save/digitize the master tapes from the 1998 March (third week) Old Salem Farm indoor horse show - ? I can't really imagine that anyone would ever be looking for footage from it. . . .

So, here in our house, we have been listening to the dulcet tones of John Bahret every day for about 2 and a half months. . . .
I have begun digitizing all our old master videos from horse shows, and I started with the New England Equitation Finals. I am coming down the stretch, finishing the tapes from 1996. I am pleased with the results. 🙂
When I finish the NEEC, I will move on to The National Horse Show! (And then maybe the National Pony Finals. 🙂 )

It's been a long time, again, since I posted one of our video "Musical Title Openings." I was looking for the one from the NHS 1999 and couldn't find it (maybe that was the year it was cancelled? I think I vaguely remember there was one year around that time that it was. . . .) --- So, anyway, I wound up choosing this one, from the 2012 Big E Hunter/Jumper Show.
