Holter Monitor ❤️

A Holter monitor is kind of like a portable electrocardiogram. It records electrical activity of the heart over a period of time📈 I had the monitor to record any heart palpitations or spikes/declines in my heart rate❤️

This is the first step my doctors are taking in testing for POTS😅

I made a short video of how it went over the 24 hour period I had it on, which I’m currently editing to get out ASAP! If anyone has any questions please ask!☺️

3 years ago today I was diagnosed with Tourette’s Syndrome.

I found this from , sums up my feeling about my tics right now💖

“The tic attacks, the embarrassment,
the dirty looks when walking the street,
a kinder brain please l’d just like to meet.

I just want rid of this disaster,
it’s like a long slippery slope,
when will it start to get better,
I’m starting to lose hope.

I’m spiralling out of control,
it’s like my tics want me dead,
and on that note I’m only hanging by a thread.

I’m exhausted, physically and mentally,
did the tics only come on coincidentally?
If I could put into words how I feel,
this would do the job,
I feel like a circus act,
and my happiness has been robbed.

I call them my tics. But I don’t want them.”

Show week is done!🤩✨

A fantastic show run with ! Completely different for me this year as I was singing in the band and not dancing😅

Although this was the right decision for me as my disabilities don’t allow me to dance at that extent anymore, it didn’t make it any easier😢

My tics also didn’t make the 2nd and 3rd shows very easy as I was having neck tics which made it very difficult to sing. But the show goes on🤩

I had a fantastic time and I’m so sad it’s all over, time to chill and have a great Christmas 🎅🏻🎄

I’m a sucker for fairy lights🥹✨

I’m such a big fan of fairy lights. I’m not sure if it’s a sensory thing or not, I just think they are beautiful💖

Me and Matthew has a lovely evening walk at our local illuminations and they were beautiful, I’m a sucker for a light trail🤣🤩

I’m just taking things a day at a time right now, a lot of different emotions with a busy schedule - just trying my best🥰

I’ve taken big strides this week in putting my physical and mental needs first, I’m super proud of myself🥹

It’s not an easy situation to be in as I want to do the things I love, but I have to be realistic. Although it’s hard, I know deep down that I need to put my myself and my health first✨

See the person, not just the disability✨

Others need to see the person and not just their disability. They need to see who they are not just what life has handed to them💝

The saying is normally “See the person, not the disability”, I believe adding “just” makes this even better💖

I don’t want anyone to look past my disabilities and try to see who I am, my disabilities ARE part of who I am. People need to see the whole person, including their disabilities and not just the label of what disability they have🌟

The latest my tree has gone up since I moved out!😅🫢

Christmas is such a magical time of year and I’ve felt like this since I was little. All the lights, cosy movie nights and pure joy just makes me love this time of year✨

If having my tree up a bit longer and watching Christmas movies makes me happy then you bet I’m going to do it!🎄

I’m struggling with keeping seasonal depression at bay as this time of year when it’s not quite Christmas but days get shorter and it’s dark so early, my depression takes a hit🥺

So I’m trying to stay positive and do the things I love all while trying to avoid burnout. Sending love to anybody else who also experiences seasonal depression around this time of year❤️

Halloween Show with ❤️

The Halloween Show was so much fun! I took time after to relax and wind down during the week after and I’m so glad I did😅

I’m finding it very difficult at the moment to find my place again. I’m not sure if it’s post-show blues or whatever but my body and mind isn’t what it used to be a few years ago. I’m finding it very difficult to come to terms with🥺

I’m not able to do as much or spend as much time out of the house, my disabilities and illnesses are making life very hard right now but I’m so glad to have people in my life that make it easier✨

Trying to find things I can do, that I enjoy, that my body doesn’t need hours or days to recover from afterwards💖

Fidget toys have been a great help with me in my daily life. They help me self-regulate as-well as keep my hands busy in a nondestructive way✨
