Baker County, Oregon —

On June 3, a dramatic rescue unfolded in Baker County, Oregon, after a vehicle carrying a man and his four dogs plummeted into a creek. The man, Brandon Garrett, had been traveling with his pets when he lost control of the vehicle, which tumbled off an embankment. Garrett managed to crawl to safety, but his vehicle was inaccessible due to the treacherous terrain.

In a remarkable twist, one of the dogs, sensing something was amiss, journeyed nearly four miles back to the camp to alert Garrett's family, who then notified authorities. Rescue teams responded swiftly, locating Garrett's vehicle and the dog in a steep ravine.

As crews searched for a way to access the creek, they heard Garrett's cries for help. He was found alive, approximately 100 yards from the vehicle, and received initial medical attention. A rescue basket and highline rope system were deployed to transport Garrett across the ravine, where he was secured and transferred to medical personnel.

Garrett was airlifted to a regional hospital for further treatment, while the three remaining dogs were found alive at the crash site. The rescue effort was a collaborative effort between the Baker County Search and Rescue Ropes Team, volunteers, and U.S. Forest Service employees.

🚨 : South Carolina Senate candidate Christina Allard has been served with a subpoena to surrender all text messages and media relating to her purportedly adulterous affair with Kershaw County Magistrate Herbert Clay Carruth III.

Of interest? The family court ordered subpoena was served while the former state prosecutor was interacting with constituents ahead of a candidate forum hosted by the Sumter County Republican Club at 6:22 p.m. EST on Thursday.

NEXT OF KIN- PUBLIC ASSISTANCE

The Madera County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help in locating the next of kin for 73 year old Jay Randon Collins (DOB 08/10/1950), who passed away on May 22, 2024 at his home in Coarsegold.

According to his caregiver, Mr. Collins had three daughters and one brother, but despite extensive search efforts, the Coroner’s Office has been unable to locate any next of kin. If anyone has information about Mr. Collins, or how to get in contact with his next of kin, please contact the Madera County Coroner’s Office at (559) 675-7774.

Deeply troubled by this news that the Baldwin family is moving forward with this decision, especially given the recent tragic circumstances. It seems premature and insensitive to proceed with this endeavor, it demonstrates a lack of respect and integrity on the part of the family and TLC. The ending of a life is a solemn matter, and it deserves a more thoughtful and considerate approach. We are disappointed and saddened by this turn of events.😔

Alec and Hilaria Baldwin, as well as their seven children, will soon have their own TLC reality show.

My niece Lily Bogan has been missing since Saturday night. At first it was taken as she slept in on Sunday morning, morning came and went she didn't come home. By Sunday evening cops were notified.

What is known: Saturday night she was at a pool party in middletown by the old Saturday market kn rt 230 at a kids named Ryan Piercing (spelling on last name might not be right) cops were called for noise. Confirmed by the homeowner with detective. This was the last known whereabouts. She left/is with boy(s) named Trent or Austin.

Nani didn't take extra clothes or anything from the house prior to leaving. Last known possible clothes is black pants, white shirt and a pair of Nikes. Phone is on, doesn't pick up to any calls. Location has been turned off, last text to her at 749pm on 6/3 was marked read. No official contact from Nani to her mom.

It's an active case with Middletown PD. We just want her to come home and to at least call/video chat her mom. Picture is an up to date photo with my niece being the one on the right with glasses on her head.

On 10/12/2021, Derrick Wing left his residence without permission. It was reported to the Will County Sheriff’s Office that the last time Derrick had been in communication with family members was on 10/14/2021 with the use of a cellular telephone application. It was also reported to the Will County Sheriff’s Office that Derrick does not own a cellphone or tablet, and it is unknown by what means Derrick was using to communicate with his family.
Derrick has been diagnosed as autistic with having other medical conditions and he did not take any of his prescription medication with him. It is believed that Derrick may have left the state, possibly in route to Indiana or Wisconsin.

UPDATE: Lockport resident, Derrick Wing has been found and was returned safely to his home. The 17-year-old was reported missing on October 14th. The teen is autistic and has other medication conditions and did not take any his medication with him. The Sheriff’s Office would like to thank the public, media, and police agencies for their assistance in locating Wing.

16-year-old Alexia Peppers has been located and is safe! She has been reunited with her parents.
