The next 5 years are going to shift the global power dynamics that will impact the entire world directly or indirectly.

India and China are preparing for a modern day Mahabharat and this will dictate who is going to be the next world power.

In this Podcast, I am in conversation with Wing Commander Bhupinder Singh Nijjar (Retd.) who has shared some extremely insightful details about this war brewing in our neighborhood.

The Hindu pantheon comprises many celestial beings apart from the Devas and Asuras. Each of these beings have supernatural powers and advanced knowledge that could create and destroy other powerful beings. Many of them carried weapons that have left an everlasting mark in our history.

One of these weapons is the Vajra. This weapon was crafted by Bhagwan Vishwakarma using the bones of Maharishi Dhadhichi who willingly gave up his life for a higher cause. Indra Dev used this weapon to end the terror of the Asuras at one point of our ancient history to restore cosmic balance.

In this story we are going to share one such incident that left the Asuras helpless and defeated.

Our ancient epics The Ramayan and Mahabharat are interestingly so advanced that it is hard for science to comprehend its advanced technology. The stories within these two epics mention celestial beings, supernatural powers and advanced weapons as a way of life.

The diversity of our culture has given us a very different world view and hence when the mention of multi universe or hypersonic weapons come up, it is easily believable to us.

In this context there is a weapon called the Bhramastra which was created by Bhrama himself to preserve righteousness and Dharma on manushya lok. This weapon, in today's context, is equivalent to the atomic bomb and can change the course of a war completely. This is a short story of the use of this Astra in the Ramayan by Bhagwan Ram.

Our history tells us stories of three deities, Brahama, Vishnu and Shiva. They together maintain the balance of our cosmos and humanity as we know it. Each of them have their own superpowers and weapons that have the ability to change the fabric of time and space.

One such weapon is called the Narayana Astra. This astra has been mentioned in many tales and folklore in our culture. This powerful weapon is one of the fiercest weapons used in the world's greatest epic called Mahabharat.

The Narayana Astra is Bhagwan Vishnu's weapon and in this story it tells us the power it has and how it almost changed the course of the Kurukshetra war between the Kaurav and Pandav brothers.

In our culture there are stories of deities and celestial beings that bend the reality of time and space. One such story is of a celestial weapon called the Pashupati Astra which wielded such power that it could wipe out humanity clean.

This Astra was a cosmic weapon that was given by Bhagwan Shiv to Arjun to protect Dharma. The story of this astra is so deeply embedded in our culture that it has travelled through lore and stories from one generation to another.

This is a short excerpt that will introduce you and awaken your curiosity to know more about our ancient stories.

Mahabharat is the world's oldest epic and is an amalgamation of many stories knit tightly together. This is not just a single lore but a deeply wound story that tells us a lot about our ancient culture, wisdom, and knowledge of our ancestors. The Kauravs and Pandavs were not just brothers who went to war, but legends who created history by their sheer Karma.

This is a short story from the same epic that we will always remember as the greatest epic humanity has ever read.

There are stories of Gods in India who helped humanity in ways that it is hard to describe and perceive in today's context. They used supernatural powers that were given to them after many years of tapasya and they were also given weapons that changed the face and course of our history.

One such God who is worshipped and is deeply embedded in our culture is Hanumanji. The word Hanuman refers to a person who has a disfigured jaw. Myth has it that if anyone has a jaw like him the person is considered very lucky.

This is one of the most famous tales of Hanuman when he was a child.

Queen Mallamma led her contingent of women fighters to execute a surgical strike against Marathas for liberating the stolen livestock. This strike left 200 Maratha soldiers wounded and 12 dead. When this news reached Shivaji, he was not only infuriated by the behavior of his soldiers but also deeply troubled by the valor of the Belawadi women. After that, there was a long and intense fight that went on for 15 days. In the fight, Mallamma was held captive with her four-month-old baby, and even this could not deter her courage and determination. She led the Belawadi forces with all her might and defended the fort for 27 more days.

According to a Portuguese historical account, they launched an assault on Honnavar during the war of 1570, which led to the complete destruction of town. Following the downfall of Vijayanagar, Chennabhairadevi engaged in diplomatic interactions with the Portuguese. She successfully defended her territory against Portuguese attempts to control the lucrative pepper trade, and her strategic victories in battles against the Portuguese led to the nickname "Pepper Queen" in recognition of her efforts to protect this valuable commodity.

Chand's brother was killed in a battle with the Mughal Prince Murad, leaving his infant son with Chand Bibi as his regent. Mian Manju, a rebellious noble, installed 12-year-old Ahmed Shah as the ruler. To counter disapproval and conspiracies from generals, he invited Prince Murad's army to Ahmednagar. Realizing his mistake, Mian Manju ceded power to Chand Bibi as he couldn't retract the Mughal invitation. When the Mughals arrived, wearing armor beneath her veil, Chand Bibi courageously left the palace, leading her troops into battle against the Mughals.

In her quest to ensure the safety and protection of her kingdom, Kurma Devi focused on building alliances and strengthened her forces by forming bonds with the Rajput rulers in the neighborhood. Kurma Devi's army consisted of nine rajas and eleven chiefs, along with their men. In a fierce battle, Kurma Devi and her forces encountered Qutub-ud-din and his army near the old Amber fort. In the midst of the battle, Kurma Devi challenged the Muslim general to a personal duel, which turned the tide of the battle in her favor.
