Jillian talks with genuine bad ass, enduro racer, athlete, and teacher Megan Griffiths. Meg shares her passion for dirt bikes, enduro, trail riding, and teaching. Her career began as a full-time electrician working in oil fields; however, she was miserable and never had the time to ride. In 2020, amid Covid, she quit her job as an electrician and now lives full time on the road, teaching clinics throughout the US and Canada. Meg discusses her lifestyle, her practice philosophy, personal growth, and the importance of finding joy in what you do.

The bonus was getting to hang with her cute dogs 😍

Tapping in at 5’11” with a fast-growing fan base, we have Zachary Diehl. A Maine boy who has no problem wearing short sleeves in the inclement weather Overland Expo West always has to offer. Over the last year, Zach has taken overlanders by storm with his satirical content poking fun at all the (let’s be honest) truths of the community. In their conversation, Jillian and Zach touch on the importance of being able to poke fun at yourself, which is how he has built his following. With the support of the community, lovers and haters, Zach has been able to generate a large enough following to make this a full-time gig for himself. We have a feeling this is only the beginning for Zachary Diehl.

Since we last had Rachelle on the podcast, a lot has happened with her and the team. They completed the Nordic Series, have some new content coming on their streaming platform “XOverland Network”, and are now preparing for their next big adventure in South Africa. Jillian and Rachelle also touch on their personal relationship and the importance of reaching out to your friends to simply ask, “How are you?”.

“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.”

247 years later, these words are just as powerful now as they were then. Today is not just a celebration of his great nation but also an acknowledgment of sacrifice, bravery, and courage. Without those characteristics of our Founding Fathers and the men and women who have served this country since its inception, we would not be here.

America is not perfect. It will never be perfect. But the tenacity to “form a more perfect union” will never die. America’s storied history proves that we will continue to fight for what is best for this nation – we can always improve, we can always be better.

We are grateful for this nation and all its imperfections.

Happy birthday, America.
