A guy set fire to a Class 12 student from Jharkhand's Dumka district on Tuesday after she rejected his love approaches; the victim died from her injuries in the early hours of Sunday. In response to the Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal's demonstrations over her murder in Dumka town, prohibitory orders were issued.
The entire city has come to a stop as a result of the tragic incident, and officials had to apply CrPC Section 144 in the region because of demonstrations. This indicates that it was against the law for five or more persons to congregate in one location.
"Shahrukh, the defendant, was taken into custody. We'll ask for a quick trial in the fast track court. People are helping us out. We want people to keep the peace, "Ambar Lakda, the SP for Dumka, spoke to ANI on Sunday.
Even while the accused was being led to a police car in handcuffs, he could be seen grinning carefree.
His "shameless smile" was criticised by users on social media after the video was extensively circulated there.
90% burned and in severe condition, the man was first brought to Phulo Jhano Medical College and Hospital in Dumka. She then received a referral to Ranchi's Rajendra Institute of Medical Science (RIMS), where she passed away from her wounds.

destroyed in a matter of seconds. Today at 2:30 pm, nine years after locals complained to the court about the Supertech twin buildings in Noida (Delhi NCR), which had 32 and 29 stories, respectively, and were taller than the Qutub Minar, they were completely demolished. They were demolished and brought down in less than 9 seconds using 3,700 kilos of explosives.
The Supreme Court ruled that the building on the grounds of the Emerald Court organisation was improper and issued an order for its removal. The firm, with the help of the Noida Authority, destroyed the structures at its own expense.
The development design for the "Supertech Emerald Court" housing society originally called for 14 buildings with nine stories. The design was later changed, and the builder was given permission to add 40 stories to each tower. According to the original plans, the land where the towers were constructed was going to be turned into a garden.
After that, Supertech Emerald Court community residents complained to the Allahabad High Court in 2012, claiming the development was unlawful. In order to sell more apartments and increase their profit margins, the petitioners claimed that the Supertech group broke rules. As a result, the authority was ordered by the court in 2014 to demolish the towers within four months of the order's filing (at its own expense).
The Supreme Court then heard the matter. The towers were supposed to be demolished by last August, but owing to technical issues, it took a year. The Supreme Court found that the builder had colluded with the Noida authorities to breach construction codes.
Homebuyers filed a number of petitions with the Supreme Court in support of and against the Allahabad High Court's decision.

In the wee hours of Wednesday, something unexpected happened in Chhatarpur, Madhya Pradesh. Here, a hand pump began to release water and flames. Following this, there was a commotion in the neighbourhood, and the administration was promptly alerted.
As soon as this information began to circulate across the hamlet, people began to avoid the hand pump out of fear. In addition, individuals began speaking in a variety of ways, with some claiming that this is a miracle and others claiming that a chemical leak is to blame for the tragedy.
However, there is a reason for the phenomenon that seems ominous. Methane gas, which is extremely flammable, is claimed to have been spilled from a deep underground location.
Speaking to Danik Bhaskar, Dr. Gyanendra Pratap Singh of a government science college in Bhopal explained how sedimentary rocks like the sandstone, limestone, and shale that are common in Buxwaha get deposited in a swampy area with fine sand and undergo a chemical reaction that results in the production of methane. The gas loses density as it is heated or burned, which likewise causes the water to rise.

An official can be seen striking a student in a video clip from Bihar that has gone viral. The kid is shown rolling on the ground and screaming in agony while holding up a tricolour. The call for looking for work caused a commotion.
The Bihar deputy chief minister said on Monday evening that a probe had been initiated into the event since the video was being extensively circulated on social media. The lathi charge was used to dissuade students from participating in a protest march in Patna against the assistant district magistrate's beating of a STET candidate. If proven guilty, stern steps would be taken against him, according to the investigation committee, the man was reported as saying by the news agency ANI.
Asit Nath Tiwari, a spokesman for the state Congress and a member of the coalition that controls the government, vehemently denounced the incident in a statement.
"We could have understood if the child himself had engaged in stone-throwing or any other form of physical aggression. However, knocking up a young man carrying the tricolour who posed no threat is inappropriate, and the offending officer must be disciplined, Tiwari argued.
When questioned about the incident, the DM stated that a two-person inquiry team had been formed by the administration to look into the claims and review the video evidence.

Despite recent events in the US that not only aroused anger globally but also resulted in the fall of the American Republican administration as the nation faced demonstrations under the BLM movement, police brutality continues to go unreported worldwide. But no one has yet noticed the shift.
Following social media uproar over a video that appeared to show two deputies and an officer punching a suspect while they were in custody, three Arkansas law enforcement officers in the US were suspended on Sunday.
According to police, when the man was confronted, he knocked a deputy to the ground and hit him in the back of the head, which resulted in the arrest shown on camera.
The unnamed man was detained and sent to a nearby hospital. He is accused of making terroristic threats, obstructing law enforcement, and other assaults, according to police, although nothing has been confirmed.

The Durand Cup, the oldest soccer competition in Asia, is now taking place in Guwahati, Kolkata, and Imphal. There are ten Cup group C matches being held in Manipur.
The 134-year-old football competition, which is the third-oldest in the world and the oldest in Asia, was first played in Dagshai in 1888.
The 131st Durand Cup's Manipur chapter was officially opened by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Thursday at Khuman Lampak Stadium.
At the Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan stadium in Kolkata during the inaugural ceremony, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee kicks a football.
The Durand Cup was first introduced as a football competition for the various departments and regiments of the armed forces of British India and native India, and it was played only among the armed forces. The tournament was named after its founder, Sir Henry Mortimer Durand, who served as the foreign secretary of British India from 1884 to 1894.
The inaugural matches, as we previously said, were staged at Dagshai, a town in Himachal Pradesh close to Shimla, before being moved to New Delhi in 1940. In order to maintain the quality of competition, the tournament had to be expanded to the civilian professional football teams clubs around the nation due to World War II and the deployment of military personnel.
Mohammedan Sporting Club from Calcutta became the first civilian team to win the competition when it was held at the Irwin Amphitheatre, now known as Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium, for the first tournament ever held in Delhi. The World War, the fight for Indian independence, and ultimately the Partition caused the event to be postponed.
The Durand Cup Football Tournament, in collaboration with the All India Football Federation, organises the Durand Cup each year (AIFF). The Durand Cup, President's Cup, and Shimla Trophy are the three awards given to the tournament winner.
