Movies are finally back and appear to be working fine now. Series are just starting.

Movies are still being worked on, series will be next. Due to the HUGE library of content which we provide to give you a major advantage over other TV services it's taking a long time. I would highly recommend if you haven't done this recently to take 2 minutes and go into settings - applications - managed installed applications - and click FORCE STOP on every app and click CLEAR CACHE on each app as well. ( When you hovering over managed installed applications this is where it tells you how much space is left on your device)

Every single app thats ever been opened on the firestick runs in the background until it's forced stopped. Even restarting the firestick doesn't stop these apps from being stuck running in the background. Having several of these apps running can take away from the ram (memory) of the device. Having too many apps running in the background or excess cache/low storage space can cause buffering issues thats not even internet or surge related.

The con of the firestick is that it doesn't have a lot of space and ram (memory) built into it so just taking a couple minutes here and there can make a big difference on how it performs.

I would recommend at the very least to clear cache out monthly. When you hover over an app and if it list cache in KB's that's taking up next to no space but if you have app listed in MB's or GB those are the heavier hitters. Also make sure you don't several apps running in the background and force stop those apps that are not in use.

One HUGE space eater is the screensaver that everyone has pre-installed on the fire device. I personally have removed that from popping up and taking up space by going to Settings- Display & Sounds - Screensaver - Start time Never.

Any app you have installed previously that you don't even use anymore, i would remove it to free up space. (amazon pre-installed apps you can't remove there is no option)
