A virtual event seems all fun and games, but behind the scenes: I am creating the games for weeks, running three laptops during the event, picking up balloons at the right time, decorating my backdrop hours beforehand, practicing the night prior, hoping the lighting is right, sticking to the program and time schedule I agreed to with the client, talking continually for hours, keeping the microphone at the right height, hoping I don't have to put on headsets, ensuring things can be heard, smiling nonstop while filling dead-air as I search to find the person with the open mic to mute, pretending I am not afraid of the lightning outside my window, welcoming audience members, engaging participants, cracking stale jokes and so much more... but I LOVE IT and I am always blown away when people say that they got more than they expected from the experience with me.

Many do not know that I am shy or working not only through but with general and social anxiety, but it's something about being creative, commanding an audience and making people smile that I am addicted to.

Thank you to everyone who attended Miller & Shawn's Virtual Baby Shower over the weekend. Congratulations to the parents-to-be, may your blessings be in abundance! Because Miller wants six children, I feel we may all meet again, lol. Not only was the event a blast, but wisdom was in the place via so many mothers and grandmothers in attendance.
