Positive Not Happy it’s a musical concept first, a descriptive name related to a precise way to make it and feel it, but also an ironic and smart name for our label. The idea comes from a team of friends based in Milano who share unfinished passion for underground electronic club music. Positive Not Happy born like a creative platform for us and our friends, and it’s also directly connected to our party brands Electronic Barbecue, Phoenix Room and Pennyroyal After Tea, with the aim to involve in our project the resident djs and a selection of international guests. The sound will be oriented to energetic and solid club tracks, with a particular focus for accurate sound design and strictly electronic aesthetic. It results in a hybrid mix of house, techno, minimal and electro with a totally “positive attitude but not necessarily happy” vibe. Our three years experience in Milano club scene as promoters and direct support from connected friends in other key cities will give an international perspective to our label projects and showcases. ...
