Thoughts for Today: Many of us try to polish and paint our earthly vessels. We go to the hairstylist (at least those who still have hair), the nail salon,, tailor, gym-all in an attempt to improve our physical appearance. In fact, some of us try to do the same thing spiritually. Yet, all of those efforts only detract from the beauty of the treasure within. Let's look at 2 Corinthians 4:7 But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us. We are of the earth so we are earthly vessels, and therefore, Imperfect no matter how hard we try to cover our flaws. Amen Why? Because people will be amazed at the treasure inside of them, not in their personal or professional accomplishment. So whether it is as an individual or a ministry, the key is to get out of the way and let people see the beauty of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He is the treasure within. My last words are some people feel unworthy to serve. But that's not the Lord perspective. The Lord is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love. He will not always accuse, nor will he harbor his anger forever; he does not treat us as our sins deserve or repay us according to our iniquities. In what ways can you serve the Lord? What needs have been expressed at your church? In your community? At school? At work? Take a look at yourself within> Have a bless day let's continue to pray for Pastor going home service. Today has been a good day. I got ordained as a deacon today. I had the chance to share that experience with my wife mother in law father and mom. I just grateful for all the things Gods has done in my life. For the forgiveness and the mercy. It is my hope that God will continue to strengthen me for the journey to come. To give me the understanding to use my gifts and talent for the advancement of the kingdom. Today has been a good day.
