I guess Ori put a spell on my computer that didn't work today!

Luckily I'm well prepared for any situation so I delivered today's workshop without a presentation (they are so overrated right?!).

Thank you, Ori, for letting me use your Mac I know it was on purpose lol. And thank you, for your time and questions.

Tonight I had a great time delivering an advanced job searching lecture using LinkedIn to Jolt ILt alumni as part of .

When people take the time late at night to log in and listen to me, I'm obligated to give them my all. I appreciate any little effort they had to take to be present in this certain moment.

This is why I have a rule. I'm always the last one to log out from the zoom or walk out of class. I'm staying till the last person is gone, and no more questions are being asked.

Thank you all for being present; thank you for your questions, enthusiasm, and willingness to be better, and a big thank you for Run Aluf & Ariella Garson for orchestrating this remarkable evening ๐Ÿ˜Ž

Another day (not) at the office๐Ÿฅณ

Started my day early at Snappy one of the coolest startups I had the chance to meet. We learned about on LinkedIn and how to create a captivating personal profile.

Few hours at the office and then a lecture to the students of the Digital Marketing Club at Reichman University (IDC Herzliya). We learned how to generate an informative but yet creative .

As you noticed both lecturers were in real life, which is super refreshing after so many using Zoom.

Thank you, the 100 people I met today; you are the reason I'm doing it all ๐Ÿ™

Whoever thought that and standing in front of people will be part of my job and something I'm doing daily.

Growing up I was THE shyest person you'll ever meet. It's unreal how the thing I used to be most afraid of became my and even a sanctuary.

Running a business can be satisfying but also stressful. My email is always packed, my WhatsApp exploding and the mission keeps stacking. All of this makes lecturing a quiet field for me when I can do only one thing - delivering knowledge.

For a few hours, my phone is not around, emails are waiting and I'm all in with my students or random audiences gazing at me seeking my next tip, hack, or piece of information.

Every time I'm starting my talks I feel the responsibility to innovate, to educate, to inspire, and to serve as a .

I love the opportunity I'm getting to make the most out of the time of the people in front of me.

Challenge Accepted: ๐Ÿ‘‡

I'm super exciting writing this week's book review. It might sound too much, but this is how I feel, so here I go:

โ–ช The by Scott Galloway is by far the best book I ever read. Wait, what? You heard me. Now, if you are still here and haven't run to purchase it, let me explain why:

โ–ช Scott made me laugh like hell, bliss multiple times, tear, think, criticize, and mostly retrospect and futurespect (I made up this one) in just 230 pages.

โ–ช A huge shoutout to the way Scott shares his personal experiences and insights while involving lots of emotions. His writing skills are something else; it felt like a totally different experience from everything I read before.

โ–ช For those who do not know, Scott Galloway is a professor of marketing at the NYU Stern School of Business, perhaps best known as the author of the bestselling book "The Four: The Hidden DNA of Amazon.com, Apple, Facebook, and Google", which I'm reading next week.

I'll try to sum some of the main ideas, but seriously, you should read that book:

๐Ÿ‘‰ Get ahead while you're young - Your early working years are the most important for setting yourself up for future success, wealth, and happiness. Invest, embrace compound interest, work hard, and avoid unrewarding status games.

๐Ÿ‘‰ Your partner is your most important life decision - Your choice of life partner is the most important determinant of your future success and happiness. Out-of-sync relationships make everything harder.

๐Ÿ‘‰ You don't have to follow your passion - Don't get sucked into the narrative of following your passion. Find something you're good at and become great at it. Once you're great at it, the emotional and economic rewards of being great will make you passionate about it.

๐Ÿ‘‰ Stay fit, be present, and grateful - Exercise regularly, develop the ability to truly be present at the moment, and cultivate gratitude. All of these things are strongly correlated with greater happiness.

No call to action this week; just go and read it ๐Ÿ˜

*He's not paying me, this is a genuine feedback lol

Challenge Accepted: ๐Ÿ‘‡

At a certain point in life, don't we all try to do something we are not used to just to make ourselves feel better? Or maybe we are trying to stop doing something we know is harmful.

This week I had a great time reading "The Powe of Habit" by Charles Duhigg.

โ–ช For a long time, I was looking to find answers for why there are things in life that are easy for me to do, like waking up at 5 am and for other people, no matter how hard they try, they won't be able to do, and even if they do, it won't last.

โ–ช On the contrary, I tried to understand why I couldn't make myself eat healthier and stick to it.

โ–ช According to the researchers in Duhiggs's book:
"40% of the actions we take each day are actually habits. Habits are choices that we continue repeatedly doing without actually thinking about them".

There are 3 Components of a Habit:

๐Ÿšจ A cue, a trigger that tells our brain which habits to use and puts it into automatic mode.

๐Ÿ”„ A routine, which acts out the habit. This can be physical, mental, or emotional.

๐ŸŽ A reward, which is the result of the routine and reinforces the habit.

โ–ช In a gist, to stop a bad habit, we need to cut at least one of the habit components, and to make a new one, we need to repeat the components till they become automatic.

Two more great principles I learned from this book are:

๐Ÿ‘‰ Digital habits and their effect on us humans

๐Ÿ‘‰ The Importance of organizational habits

Have you read this book? let me know in the comment what is your best habit you wish to have forever and what is your dream habit to have โฌ‡

"I have a confession to make: I never drank coffee in my life".

This is how I opened today's presentation to no other than the Nespresso board included: CEO Sonia Nastase, CFO Nir Katz, VP Commerical Division Tomer Horovitz, VP CCS Shai Dinur, Quality Safety Manager Yehonatan Nergaon, and the one & only, the initiator of the sustainability board - Inbal Oren.

Let's start from the beginning:

For the past year and as part of my master's degree in & at ื”ืžืจื›ื– ื”ื‘ื™ื ืชื—ื•ืžื™ ื”ืจืฆืœื™ื” - IDC Herzliya, I had a thrilling chance to work along with the magnificent Sivan Friedman Joseph & the remarkable Andreanna Zioni on a project called:

"Every capsule has a potential future"๐ŸŒฑ.

๐Ÿ‘‰ The project which I can't tell you much about was a significant milestone in my career and was mentored by the amazing Vered Bar, Psy.D and with the full support and patience by Inbal Oren, the Corporate Communications & Manager at Israel.

๐Ÿ‘‰ The project dealt with the implantation of , decision-making, and social psychology theories on the process of Nespresso's capsules. We had the chance to dive in and to conduct multi-operational research that included assembled by us, various focus groups & personal interviews.

๐Ÿ‘‰ The results & reactions were more than amazing! it's truly inspiring to be a part of a big change while making a . To see how my expertise can make things come to life is beyond anything I could ever dream of.

๐Ÿ‘‰ Back to the beginning - you probably ask yourself why I never drank coffee right? the answer is that personal experiences can change , something we've been trying to do on this once in lifetime project with Nespresso๐Ÿ™‚โ˜•

Thank you all once again, I'm off to get my tea time ๐Ÿ˜œ

If you appreciate someone, get them a book.

This sentence holds so much value. Get someone something at all is a big thing that shows's a lot about caring for others. Giving is a big virtue simply because the givers can make others happy.

And tell me, is there any greater power than make someone else happy?

After giving myself in so many different occasions over the years, today I was surprisingly been given by some else, and damn it's feel good!

A few weeks ago I helped on a really small scale (I swear I barely did anything this time!) to Olivier Sarfati. Today he made me feel great by sending me some great books!

Thank you Olivier for not only giving me books but giving me inspiration for better connections with other peers and the opportunity to read so I could gain more knowledge.

Olivier sent me the book from the U.S so they have come a long way so I could sit down enjoy them and write this appreciation post.

Now I'm thinking about how I'm going to surprise someone else and that makes me excited (By the way the meaning of my name Shay is a gift).

When was the last time you been surprised by someones else's?

Asking questions: a valuable super skill๐Ÿ’ช

: The verbal tool of human beings for progress.

We all need some and something to for, but what if I told you that the greatest tool to do so was under our noses since the ?

๐Ÿง  When asked a question our automatically gets stimulated and serotonin is released. This release of serotonin causes the brain to work in order to find answers and develop solutions.

๐Ÿง  In simple words, questions hijack our thoughts and our unconscious mind. By asking questions we are leaving behind statements, thoughts, facts, and sometimes and let & deep thinking kick in.

Asking question will:

โ“ Give your team the opportunity to step-up

โ“ Keep your mind operating after hours

โ“ Help you challenge reality, critique, and prepare for learning

I leave questions open at the end of a workday with the understanding that not everything is solvable at the moment and because absorbing the question and thinking about it will lead to a solution on another day. To me asking questions is a that:

โœ… Overcomes shyness & will make people remember you

โœ… Inspire, show humility, and open closed doors

โœ… Helps us attain our full potential

Do you have a question for me?๐Ÿ˜‰

Recently I had the privileged to take action on the matter and deliver a workshop on behalf of Conntix & the US Embassy that dealt with the subject.

โœ… Using names in our publications while tagging as many real people as we can.

โœ… Tell instead of inform - write while involving positive emotions and inspiring ideas.

โœ… Give before you take - the spirit of giving should lead your content instead of "lighting up fires".

โœ… Be repetitive - people trust people and posts that show us tendency, also known as the frequency illusion.

โœ… It's about the long run, not the short term - show people that you'll be back next week with more, leave them in anticipation.

โœ… State your interest loud and clear & support your words with statistics, trustworthy people, based research, and testimonials also know as (Reason2Believe).

Above all, slow down when consuming social media and look with a critical eye at what foreign factors are trying to make you feel and do๐Ÿง

If you work in digital marketing you are probably asking yourself every day when you should publish your .

is the best friend of the advertiser and should be an integral part of the content management . Using it, we will help us find the "Sweet Spot", the point where it is best for us to advertise.

Zenesys Technosys Pvt. Ltd has researched Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and YouTube to find out what hours get the most engagement:

โ— Instagram: 11: 00-13: 00, 19: 00-21: 00 on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. They found that Wednesday is the "hottest" day and Saturday the "coldest".

โ— Facebook: 13: 00-16: 00 on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Weekends get the most involvement.

โ— LinkedIn: 10: 00-11: 00 on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Weekends are the least good days to advertise on.

โ— Twitter: 10: 00-11: 00 Monday through Friday. Saturdays and Sundays are the least worthwhile.

โ— YouTube: 12: 00-16: 00 during the week, 9: 00-11: 00 on weekends.

Trial and error will serve you well until you find the key point where it pays you to advertise. We work hard to produce quality content, I challenge you to also work on finding the formula for your time.
