Ok, so random dungeoncreation…. I've recently been getting in to pointcrawls. Feels better than "oo I rolled a hallway…oo I rolled a hallway" ad infinitum. But those are also very fixed in their set up. I have been experimenting with a point buy system. Wanderer (my ttrpg system) already uses levels such as novice, competent, etc so it makes sense a dungeon would be made using similar levels....

All the races in Wanderer will have mirrors in another race. No race is inherently good or evil. Morality is individual and based on the society. Conflict arises from the tension of different thoughts and beliefs. There is no "blood feud," only societal conflicts. Racial beliefs are not absolute. They represent the history of the race, nothing more. These beliefs are often assimilated and modified when in multicultural collectives. There are no racial religions or gods, only different understandings seen through different cultural lenses.

ghostbox is a solo epistolary game about letters left mouldering in an abandoned postbox for weeks, months, years. You'll write one side of a conversation where the replies never come. You'll track what happens to the postbox over the years. And when the game ends, the postbox and its contents are lost forever.

Thoughts: This is a unique game that uses letters and solitaire to create an interesting experience.

With its straightforward mechanics, Wyrmlings encourages improvisation and role-play without requiring a lot of preparation from the GM. The system is perfect for one-shots, short series of adventures, and complete campaign arcs spanning a few years at Dragon School.

Tea Harvest is a dice-rolling farming sim for one player. Using dice and tokens on a game board, you can track the progress of your tea plants, harvest them at the right time for the right type of tea, face different challenges, fill orders, earn money, help your neighbors, and purchase things from the shop to give you an edge in your work. Be careful though, because you only get so many actions in a day, and you only have so many days to reach your goals!

Thoughts: This is a delightful little game that has strong Stardew Valley vibes that is perfect for a lazy weekend or just having a calm and comforting time.

Nomadic is a solo tabletop role-playing game of exploration and survival. You explore dangerous worlds in a quest to find a new home for humankind.

You use oracles when things are uncertain, perform dangerous actions, and manage resources to keep your body, your mind, your equipment, and your spaceship in good shape.

The game uses the Breathless system, so every single action you take brings you one step closer to a complication.

The game is harsh, and beautiful at the same time.

Explore, document, but most importantly, survive.

Thoughts: This is a great exploration game with solid mechanics and a fun feel. Definitely something to grab.

To Reign in Hell is a solo TTRPG / Journaling game about fear, lamentation, and loss, but it is also about pride, determination, and hope. You play the last warden of Hell, and you are utterly alone. The seals maintaining the prison are failing, and the malevolent souls of the damned constantly tear at the walls to escape. You have lost everyone who could help you, and whatever purpose you once fulfilled, it has long since been replaced by this lost cause. Though the situation is dire, the outlook bleak, you once fought a war against Heaven itself, so it is not in your nature to submit. You are indeed alone, but you persevere. Doubt, however, can be insidious, and hope is an unreliable ally.

Thoughts: This is a fun game that follows the Wretched and Alone template very well. Definitely worth checking out.

Anyone can be a wizard with the right knowledge, trolls turn to stone in the sunlight, animals or magical objects can speak, elves aren't always nice, and the wild is full of terrible creatures like goblins, giant spiders, and even dragons!

Thoughts: This is a brilliant little game. I thoroughly enjoyed my playthrough of this game.

Thoughts: This is a lovely, reflective game that asks you to try and recall memories of a loved one after they've passed. Unlike Forget Me Not, To Keep Ghosts Alive feels more focused on how individuals find closure as opposed to a legacy left behind.

Thoughts: This game has some fun mechanics. The content can be a little rough if you stop to think about it, but the gameplay is enjoyable.

Forget Me Not is a real strong game for providing closure to character death in either your TTRPG or written works. It has great tools and mechanics for diving in and exploring the life of that character and the impact they may have left behind.
