This month we have a special Ramadan issue while continuing our series: The Ten promised paradise. In our latest issue, we will learn about Saad ibn Abi Waqqas RA. This issue will get the kids excited about archery. We have included inspiring, educational, and interactive learning material and activities to engage kids to make this a Ramadan to remember.

Through his story we learn the true meaning of brotherhood. We also explain the criteria for becoming an Imam! Our special segment is about 'water' which will cover everything water as taught through the Quran! By incorporating story-telling and age-appropriate activities.

Issue 17 of the Muslim Jr. magazine is finally here! After days of material preparation and design we have prepared 25 pages of stories and fun-filled activities!
In this issue, we will follow the story of Al-Zubayr bin Al-awam and his great Tawwakul on Allah. We introduce this concept to our children through stories, activities and practical life examples.
Our special segment this month is about Israa and mi'raj where we take our children on the most wondrous journey of all the time! Israa wal Mi'raj will be observed on 28 Feb, 2022. We also have a special guest who will share with us his take on this amazing journey! If you are looking to explain the significance of that day to your children, this issue is for you!

Narrated Abu Huraira:

I heard Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) saying, "If there was a river at the door of anyone of you and he took a bath in it five times a day would you notice any dirt on him?" They said, "Not a trace of dirt would be left." The Prophet (ﷺ) added, "That is the example of the five prayers with which Allah blots out (annuls) evil deeds.”

Let's attempt to visualize this wonderful Hadith with our children. Children respond better to visual cues and will retain information if it is connected to an image in their mind.

Ibn Kathir said in the explanation of the verse: Allah created the creatures so that they worship Him Alone without partners. Those who obey Him will be rewarded with the best rewards, while those who disobey Him will receive the worst punishment from Him. Allah stated that He does not need creatures, but rather, they are in need of Him in all conditions. He is alone their Creator and Provider.

Allah ﷻ said, "O Son of Adam! Busy yourself in worshiping Me, and I will fill your chest with riches and dissipate your meekness. Otherwise, I will fill your chest with distracting affairs and will not do away with your meekness.'') At-Tirmidhi and Ibn Majah "Hasan Gharib.''

The fundamental aspects of worship in Islam are encompassed within two parts:
spiritual worship (by heart): which includes Sincerity (ikhlas), reliance on Allah (Tawakul), patience, fear, and love for Allah.
physical worship (with our body):
prayer (Salat), fasting (Sawm), Charity (Zakat), recitation of the quran and Thikr

Let’s teach our children the correct way of worshiping Allah (ﷻ) through introducing them to the foundation of every Muslim’s faith: 'The belief in Allah (ﷻ)'.
