Transfer News : Warriors star Tino Kadewere secures loan move to French Ligue 1 side FC Nantes until end of season. The talented striker (27) seeks more game time after struggling at Olympique Lyon. Lyon and Nantes have reportedly agreed on the loan deal, with an option for a permanent move.

Kadewere has featured for Lyon 11 times this season, and started in only two of those matches.He is yet to score or provide an assist for this campaign.

Duo Billiat and Rusike team up in Johannesburg to prepare for January transfer window

In a bid to stay in top form ahead of the highly anticipated January transfer window, Zimbabwean football stars Khama Billiat and Evans Rusike have joined forces in Johannesburg, South Africa. The two free agents have been without clubs for the past six months.

Billiat, a seasoned midfielder, has been on the lookout for a new club since bidding farewell to Kaizer Chiefs when his contract expired in June. Meanwhile, Rusike, a talented striker, has faced hurdles in securing a team after his release from Moroka Swallows half a year ago.

A reliable source close to the situation revealed to Soccer Laduma, "Khama is in Joburg keeping fit with the likes of Evans Rusike, and a few other players from Zimbabwe,” a source told the publication.

“He is in the gym all the time and plays five a side on a regular basis to avoid running the risk of injury as the contact is minimal.

“He knows most teams will only start recruiting in January and is working hard to be fit by then.”

Teenage Hadebe bids farewell to Houston Dynamo.

Teenage Hadebe has officially announced his departure from Houston Dynamo, his Major League Soccer (MLS) team in the United States.

Hadebe's contract with the club is set to expire at the end of this month. Since joining Dynamo in 2021, Hadebe quickly established himself as a crucial player in the team. However, his final season at the club was marred by a long-term injury, which significantly limited his appearances on the field. Throughout all top-flight competitions, Hadebe only managed to make sixteen appearances for the team.

In what turned out to be his last match for Houston Dynamo, Hadebe played against Los Angeles FC on Sunday morning, according to Zimbabwean time. Following the game, the Warriors international took to social media to bid farewell to his club and express his gratitude.

In a heartfelt statement, Hadebe thanked his teammates, fans, and the coaching staff for their trust and support. He acknowledged the great times and victories he experienced with the team, marking this farewell as the end of the season for Houston Dynamo.

Former Kaizer Chiefs and Zimbabwe captain, Willard Katsande, made an intriguing statement regarding his ex-teammate Khama Billiat.

Katsande boldly claimed that Billiat would be an excellent addition to any team in the Premier Soccer League (PSL).

Expressing his confidence in Billiat's abilities, Katsande emphasized the former warriors forward's familiarity with the league, stating, "Whoever wants him, I think he can come and [he'd] hit the ground running because he knows the league."

Kalisto Pasuwa is inching closer to making history by winning his fifth consecutive league title with Nyasa Big Bullets, the reigning champions of Malawi. Pasuwa's team secured a crucial 1-0 victory over Karonga United in an away match on Wednesday.

The win propelled Big Bullets to a three-point lead over Silver Strikers, led by former Highlanders coach Pieter de Jongh, as they head into the final match of the season this weekend. Pasuwa's team will have the advantage of playing at home against Silver Strikers, who would need to score at least six goals without conceding any to sn**ch the title away from Big Bullets.

Unfortunately, Mark Harrison's Mighty Mukuru Wanderers, the former coach of Harare City, has been eliminated from the title race following Big Bullets' win over Karonga United. Stade de Reims midfielder Marshall Munetsi (27) will not feature again in 2023 after suffering a sprained ankle during last weekend’s 3-1 defeat against Stade de Reims.

Not only did Reims slump to a heavy defeat against Rennes on Sunday, they also lost one of their most crucial players. Zimbabwe international Munetsi was forced off in the 33rd minute at Roazhon Park with what looked like a severe ankle injury.

Will Still was particularly worried about the injury sustained by Munetsi. “Let’s hope that it’s not too serious and that we don’t risk losing him for a very long time,” said the Englishman in the post-match press conference. Having underwent tests on the right ankle on Monday and they were reassuring. There is no break, and whilst Munetsi will be out for the rest of 2023, the worst has been avoided.

Munetsi will be out until the winter break with what has been described as a considerable sprain. He is expected to return to the fold for Reims in January.
