The word has lingering flavor and resonance in other languages the word for Polish, miód, Bulgarian/Russian, med, Greek methi and it's even been said that the word for mead derives from madhu. Then I heard the clear voice of the flute" is the 10th solo album by Ido Bukelman and consists of improvised pieces for bowed banjo and acoustic guitar, but includes one vocal piece with lyrics, as well as one old folk song "The Flute" - a debut expression of Bukelman's many years of exploring into folk music from the Middle Eastern region, from which he comes from.
Ido Bukelman's work combines elements of modern music, free-jazz and blues with oriental-folk tradition. Alongside his solo work, Bukelman plays in a variety of highly creative musical projects; He has toured and recorded with musicians like Steve Swell (USA), Gunter "Baby" Sommer Baby (DE), Mark Sanders (UK), Mikołaj Trzaska (PL) and others.

In January of 2020, Luke Stewart was an artist in residency in New Orleans. 'Live at the Twilight Lounge' features the captivating first musical meeting of Luke Stewart (bass), Justin Peake (drums), and Chris Alford (guitar).
This recording captures the trio in raw, blistering form and represents one specific night of collaborations and a first meeting for Alford and Stewart. The music was performed as two 40-minute sets that have been split up on this recording for ease of navigation and listening. The music here is best experienced as an immersive long form piece, just as it was performed.

Friends, we are thrilled to be releasing in conjunction with Italy's Torto Editions, 'Tre storie per chitarra' by Comambient, aka Riccardo Komesar.
Riccardo Komesar, is a self-taught guitarist interested in sound experimentation and improvisation and has played in various projects such as Dyskinesia, Koma and Viscera///.
'Tre storie per chitarra by Comambien' is a vast panorama of instrumental guitar music and emotional soundscape: the mellow and distinctive fingerpicking is the drive of the journey, weaving in circular patterns and evolving throughout the whole structure.
His personal playing style is developed on a nine strings guitar, with the three single low strings and the double high strings, giving a unique essence and flavour to the compositions. In the booklet of the album Riccardo quotes a Jack London “Star Rover” excerpt, matching the mystic naturalism of his tunes with one of the most shamanic novels from the writer.
