CLASS SUSPENSION ADVISORY
Please be advised that due to inclement weather brought about by Severe Tropical Storm Florita, AFTERNOON CLASSES in ALL LEVELS, PUBLIC AND PRIVATE, IN THE CITY OF SAN FERNANDO are suspended today, August 23, 2022.
RATIONALE:
1. STS Florita directly affects only the Northern portion of Luzon.
2. NO Tropical Storm Warning Signal was raised in CSFP (only eastern portion of Pampanga was raised under TCW Signal No.1 (Magalang, Arayat and Candaba) (Aug 23, 2022) the same was also lifted as of 11am.
3. The rains that we are experiencing are brought about by the intensified southwest monsoon or "Habagat," and thunderstorms.
Early morning today we are only experiencing light rains (No Basis for Suspension). It was only at around 9am that PAGASA issued a Yellow Rainfall Warning Signal in the Province of Pampanga (meaning: Moderate to Heavy Rains may be experienced and possible flooding), by this time morning classes are already in session.
Due to prolonged and continuous rains that the city is experiencing and inclement weather condition, we've recommended to suspend afternoon classes as the safety of the students is still our utmost priority.
Note: All announcements from the City of San Fernando through CDRRMO will be based on forecasts and advisories of experts (DOST-PAGASA), and the actual weather condition in our Area of Responsibility.
