Happy Sunday friends! Here’s a lil first-thing-in-the-AM pibble smile to brighten your day 😍😍
Riot is especially smiley in the morning (like when he’s first waking up or getting pets + scratchies) and it melts my heart 🥺💕. Anyone else have a pup that LOVES to smile?!

📸 How to Help Rescue Dogs Through Photography 📸
This weekend I hit the streets with @thepupandcomers / @laurenislittle to get some photos of @hopeanimalrescue adoptable, Sunny! Whether your looking to get photos of your own foster or someone else’s, the best thing you can do is set up a designated photo “session.” Even if you’re not a photographer, YOU CAN DO IT 💪, and here are my tips to get you there:
🐶 Find a dog in need! Already got a foster? Great! Looking to help rescues you haven’t met yet? Even better. Rescue organizations are always looking for photographers and foster parents are usually willing to meet up with you at your convenience.
🙋♂️🙋♀️Bring some friends to assist you! It is so much easier when you have help! Two people is ideal: one to hold the dog’s leash and another to help shake treats or squeak a toy to get the dog’s attention.
📸 Grab your camera OR PHONE! Yes, phone photography is fine! If the dog is pretty still, take advantage of portrait mode on your phone. The caveat is that if the dog moves around a lot, the photos will be blurry. If the dog is more active, just use regular photo mode and try doing some bursts.
🍪🧸 Grab some treats and a toy! This will help get on the dog’s good side and help to grab their attention.
🌳 Find an outdoor location! It can be anywhere, even your backyard. It’s best to shoot during golden hour, but if you’re shooting in the middle of the day, just look for open shade and have the dog stand there.
📸 Start photographing! The biggest tip I have here is to be patient and flexible. If a dog seems like they’re constantly looking away, just wait. They will look eventually! And if a dog isn’t feeling a certain location, just move on and find a different spot.
‼️ Edit and pick out your favorite photos and SHARE, SHARE, SHARE! Share with the rescue organization, your social media accounts, co-workers, fam
I love this!!

None of us wants to think that our pets are experiencing pain. But in reality, many pets have both short-lived painful episodes throughout their lives or even chronic pain due to injury or disease as they age. So how do we know they are in pain? After all, they can’t talk to us. Throughout this episode, we discuss what signs to look for so you will be better equipped to realize what your pet is telling you. Check out our episode Doggone Pain and learn to recognize signs of pain in your pet. This rescue dog was too nervous to fall asleep — but now she sleeps on her mom's bed with all her feet in the air 🥰️ (🐶: @tedisarah, rescued by @animalhaven and
