After nearly 3 years, Michael Soroka will be called up tomorrow to pitch in Oakland! The kid has worked his butt off to get back to the show and has gone through two torn Achilles tendons, two plus years of rehab and extended time in the minor leagues and tomorrow he’s back! Congratulations Michael! Can’t wait to watch you pitch!

Well sadly the injury bug has gotten us again. The good news is neither Kyle or max needs surgery. Bad news is max will probably be out until the all star break and Kyle end of July to early august. With a forearm strain max will need 6-8 weeks of treatment from the PT staff and then 2-3 weeks of build up in the minors. Kyle will need 8-10 weeks of treatment and 2-4 weeks of build up. Kyle’s might be longer because it is a reoccurring injury which means there is something specifically causing the issue. They have to make sure they correct it so he will last the rest of the season and then can operate after the season is over if need be. Depth has been tested for the braves. I’m sure AA will be looking to add depth.

The Braves placed Max Fried on the 15-day IL Tuesday with forearm tightness.

Expected timeline to return is at least 2 months, per Mark Bowman.
