Today marks one year you have been here with us my son. You have brought sunshine to each and every day, that smile of yours lights up a whole room my little gummy bear, so smart, determined, observant and cheeky!

You surprised us all at your party yesterday when you went to so many new faces, so many people who have waited ages to meet you! Your mum and I couldn't be prouder of the little man your becoming with that contagious smile and personality to match.

We wish you the happiest first birthday, we will give you the world, and as many opportunities as we can, we love you Jaiden, and cherish every memory and experience you create with us.

Stay strong, confident, and keep reaching for the stars baby boy, and we will be there holding you up, until you find your feet at least ;) or learn to say no lol... just kidding, or am i? 😉

Today is a very special day and a milestone in our relationship.

Today we mark 5 years of marriage. In that time we have learnt to love each other for who we are, we have found qualities in one another we never knew existed, Resh is finally driving, shes on her second car! And we have been blessed with our son Jaiden.

I know I'm always working lately, but just know that through all the hours I put in, you and Jaiden are always on my mind, in my discussions and referenced to with the people I meet on my journeys.

Who knows what the next 5 years will bring us, one thing is for sure, we will keep stocking up on migraine tabs and antihistamines, and a few bottles here and there... for Jaiden 👀

I love you and I look forward to being back with you soon and sharing in the laughter and pain you bring us all 😎xx

After becoming a parent your perspective of life, the things you felt were important, the way you carry yourself often can and will change. You will find the time for the things you didn't prioritise before, the material objects and treats become quite insignificant, and your appreciation of heritage and culture, your background and where you come from becomes the answers you search for.

These are the questions that your child will grow to ask you, and when they ask, which they will... ask yourself, what will you answer?
