Operating out of San Diego, California, beneath high unclouded sun and lofty palm trees, is Street Sweeper Magazine. We are an international publication that features those who capture the energy and randomness of everyday life and present it artfully—imposing order to the disorderly. There’s a story being told and an emotion being felt in that fleeting, almost unnoticed and petrified moment. Put simply, it’s visual poetry.
Inaugurated in 2019 and made open to everyone in 2020, Street Sweeper attracts a community of people-watching image-makers. Our mission is to amplify new voices in street photography while capturing a wider audience that goes beyond our niche. Anyone can appreciate our work because it seeks to explain something we can all relate to: the human condition. Photographers dive deep to uncover what it means to be—to grow, aspire, conflict, and suffer—exploring emotion, the meaning of life, moral concerns, or just our interests. It’s versatility is what makes it palatable to the public.
