THE THREE COMEDIAN WHO PERFORMED POLITICALLY, SOCIALLY AND ECONOMICALLY SATIRICAL PERFORMANCES CALLED EPOM IN THE LATE 1970s in Manipur.

In 1970 also came into being a kind of Shumang Lila with a whole range of comedies called 'Epom.' The ' ' form is now almost non-existent with the demise of famous comedians like Mayang Imphal Tombi, Takhellambam Chaoba, Oinam Babu etc. It was one of the most common form of Shumang Lila in Manipur. This play was based on a total improvisation of the professional artists as a plot and the comic structure.
