Good Morning to all you Spooky people out there! The year 2022 is coming to an end, we know - we can't believe it either, and when we started this journey we couldn't have imagined where it would take us. This year has presented a slew of opportunities for us from a first ever cast reunion to a film screening - all unexpected, all delightfully spooky, and all because you guys supported us. What a year. We just wanted to take a moment to thank all of you as we would not be able to continue this journey without you. Next year we already have some exciting things planned that will be sure to bring the Spooky! We're expanding our network and creating new content for everyone to enjoy - that's all because of you. So thank you again, sincerely. As always - Keep It Spooky!

Get ready for things to get... Spooky! Mark your calendars, on July 14th we'll be releasing an episode with perhaps our most controversial topic yet... REMAKES! Love em', hate em', mostly indifferent, we talk about it all! This one is a doozy.

We also cannot be MORE excited for our FIRST EVER interview with a beloved genre filmmaker and one of the stars in his sophomore film. While we can't reveal the full details yet, we can drop a few hints... the first is a very small preview of the illustration done by our resident artist Juan José Saldarriaga. Keep your eyes peeled for other hints as we get closer to the release date of the show!

To celebrate Pride Month, we're discussing our experiences with the q***r elements in horror and sharing our personal stories of sexism, homophobia and a shocking revelation that left us screaming in our seats! Have you missed us? We are hard at work on our next episode of The Spooky Picture Show which will be going live June 9th! We know, we can't wait either. One of the things a few of us have been doing here in our off hours are virtual movie nights. We have been going through some weird, obscure, and just outright terrible films. While watching these films, we decided to record our reactions and this particular one was just too good not to share...

In this very special clip, we are treated to the biker chick zombie cult classic, CHOPPER CHICKS IN ZOMBIETOWN which tells the story of a group of "bi***es on the rag" invading a small town with a population problem... It keeps going down! The local mortician, played by Don Calfa (THE RETURN OF THE LIVING DEAD), it seems has been keeping his business booming by knocking off the residents of this small desert town then turning them into bloodthirsty zombies. Why? Cause he's just MEAN! When the Chopper Chicks come to town, so do the zombies and now it's up to the leather clad bikers to put these undead monsters back in the ground where they belong.

Now folks, don't get too excited, we don't see ourselves posting clips such as this as a "regular thing", but this moment in particular stood out to us and perhaps there will be another moment that will as well that may end up on here too. But we do not foresee ourselves going this route regularly. With that said, we wanted to share this segment and we hope you enjoy it as much as we did!

More than a sequel... it's a scream! Released in 1988 on this day, FRIGHT NIGHT PART II had a short life in theaters but found its audience on home video. This vastly underrated and underseen sequels still packs a heap of fun with the original vampire hunter duo squaring off against a new band of hungry ghouls. Only this time these suckers want more than blood; they want revenge! Unfortunately not an easy film to track down due to legal issues, that are hopefully being resolved sooner than later, import editions have presented the film finally in its scope ratio which provides a whole new bite to this fright filled sequel. We want to wish a Happy Release Day to FRIGHT NIGHT PART II!

We briefly touched on this list in our episode, The Horror of It All, where we discussed the often discussed decline of the genre. At that time SINISTER took the top spot but it looks like it was recently knocked off by HOST (2020), the Shudder original about a tech seance gone wrong. What do you folks think of the list below? Happy Friday! In 1980, Sean Cunningham and co released a film that would become an overnight sensation, spawning countless sequels, merchandising and so forth. The hockey mask would become synonymous with the hulking killer Jason Voorhees as he began slicing his way through countless victims film after film cementing his icon status for generations to come.
