Stop trying to bait xtians with the omnipotence paradox. Knock them out with the love paradox. Goes like this:
1 John 4:7
“Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God.”
1 Corinthians 13:4-5
“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.”
Supposedly god is love. According to the words of the same god, love keeps no record of wrongdoings.
By requiring confession/repentance, a record of wrongdoing is established (not to mention the infamous book of life), which love, and therefore god, does not do, but is doing.
So not only is it a self-fulfilling prophecy with a guilt trip over god killing his own kid, bleeding him dry to fulfill the scrifice requirements he set, god himself fails to love his kid by acknowledging and recordkeeping the world’s wrongs as his and sending him to hell.
But since he loves you, he’ll let you and your church buddies marry his lich kid. Right?
