Where has the year gone? As I get older, years just fly by faster. For me having 2 months, back to back, in the hospital, took a lot of the time away, and that surprised me, going into the hospital.
Thanksgiving is this Thursday. I have so much to be thankful for. Yes the doctors and nurses. My family was amazing, this includes Connie. My friends, my neibours, even the Cat Spring Post Office. So much help, so needed. And I am so very thankful.
December 1, is a week from Thanksgiving. We will begin playing non stop Christmas music.
Once we start back with regular programming. We have some minor changes being made. Nothing drastic, just a lot smoother.

As of Sunday, KLOT is back on the air. We were off due to illness. We must pursue finding people who would enjoy and are enthusiastic about being a part of our local radio station. This can never happen again. I will have much more on this soon.

I’m not sure what to say about this. Ted Kirkpatrick was an amazing talent and an amazing person.

Over the years we became friends and we worked together on occasion as well.

Ted was always an example of Christ and class. This time on earth is not ours. It’s a gift from above and it is only for a season. We must make it count.

May God bless you Ted and I look forward to seeing you again my friend……

We have upcoming changes for our Sunday programming, starting on September 4th.
Due to technical issues, Shepherd’s Way Church with Pastor Drew, will no longer be heard at 9am and 9pm on Sundays. Previous Sermons will be archived and heard with all other archived Sermons at 2am, 7 days a week.
Also Fair Haven will no longer be heard at 7pm. It too will be archived and reruns heard at 2am, 7 days a week. Fair Haven is searching for a new Senior Pastor. Andy Cunningham is now the Senior Pastor at Foundry at Fry Rd.
Speaking of Andy Cunningham. We will begin airing his Sermons from Foundry on Fry Rd, starting on Sunday September 4th at 9am and again 9pm.

Getting help tonight to place the AC in the window. Ive got a lot of cleaning up to do with wiring, cords and junk, to clear out. We will sign back on in the morning. After Ive cleaned the mess up.

I've got a problem. 3 A/C's I have blown thru this summer. Of course, it doesn't help that when it comes to installing them, I have dropped them about 3-4 times. I have a new unit ready to go, into the window. However, no time today, Sunday, nor time on Monday, Jury Duty. Because of this I am turning the transmitter off, until I am able to install the new window unit. I apologize for this. And I might need a second pair of hands to help getting this unit installed.

On Thursday, April 28th, we will be off the air for a while. Some needed work has to be done. On Monday, with that storm that came in, we were hit on the internet dish located on the tower. The station was never affected, only the internet. Even though we dont put out much RF with our transmitter, we still need to turn it off while they replace the internet dish.

We have a very active site now on USA Life, Gab, and MeWe. Really dont interact much on Facebook. We are still here, but not as much. This morning we had an issue with the current automation. Still loading up our new automation. Had to run, out in the early morning rain, to work on our issue. Have no idea how it happened, will it happen again?

Christmas Eve and Christmas day, coming up this week. Then we actually go into the Twelve Days of Christmas starting Christmas Day.
We, KLOT, goes back to regular music scheduling on the 26th.
The outside world isn't very pleasant these days, saying the least. Enjoy time with family and friends. Turn off the news, and enjoy your blessings. Bless others!!. For me, no news until maybe January 13. Oh how nice it will be. Merry Christmas!!

How sad. In our country, people are now forgetting what happened in our nations history on December 7. Even read today some are calling our remembering Pearl Harbor as being racist. I don't understand the reasoning. Think you have to take L*D to understand that.

We are still on our old automation. Its taking time to get the new automation setup correctly. So the current automation, almost like clockwork, crashes every Wednesday. And Wednesday is our day to start our Christmas music. As soon as possible, once that crash occurs, we will get it back up and running.

Back in the 1960's, 70's and a little into the 80's, Top 40 radio included Pop, Rock, Soul, Jazz and Country. Top 40 also during that span contained both Christian and Pseudo-Christian, lyrics in many, many of those Top 40 hits, that charted well.

It is a long and tedious job to go through all our files and songs. It has to be done though. Still could be a few errors not caught. Our current situation seems to take Wednesdays to crash. That old automation has shown a lot of flaws. It's still good as a future backup. The new automation will give us so many more opportunities. Just giving you a quick update.

We are making progress on the eventual switch to a new automation platform. The issue that occurred was the copy of files to transfer. They were corrupted or incomplete. Each file is having to be manually checked. Once this is done, I believe you will notice when we are on the new automation. There is so much more we can and will be able to do.

KLOT 107.7 FM will air a Tribute on Saturday. From The Texas Radio Hall of Fame, they put together a tribute to Dusty Hill, playing music of ZZ Top. It will air at Noon and again at 4pm

One of the many strange possible events and proven events from past history here on KLOT, happened this morning. Our automation crashed but fixed itself. But failed to go to today's format for Sunday's. As mentioned before we do have the remedy. It just takes time to setup and test before placing on the airwaves.

The hardware has now been assembled. We now wait for the shipping. The longest part of this process is the waiting. Loading in and testing, is going to take time. In the meantime, current automation is starting to show signs of crashing more often. If that becomes too much of an issue, we might shut down, until the new system is ready. I hope it doesn't get to that, but it could.
