I grew up in an age where “gaming” is not a legitimate career choice. It was shunned, and even vilified to be only for “tambays”. Sadly, It’s something I love dearly, and was something I was doing for as long as I remember.

I was always into competitive gaming. I love to be a master of my craft in whatever game I was playing. But because I needed to earn a proper living, I never pursued it seriously. Years passed and the e-sports scene developed.

The irony of it all is that had I chose to follow my passions it would have led to career opportunities that could provide the same security for me and my family if not more.

This is the reason why I am trying to play catch up to make up for the time I lost chasing someone else’s dream for me.

The bottom line here is, like Ling2x, never regret choosing your passions, it was put there for a reason.

Esports (the competitive scene) really isn't for everyone. I aspired to compete dati and I realized na there were a lot of things going on bakit hindi ko na napagpatuloy.

Financially: I couldn't pay for my own bills back then. Nangutang pa nga ako at some point para magkainternet lang for another month just to play for scrims and practice. Di pa talaga ako mag eearn ng stable sa pagstrestream at bihira lang ako magkacasting gig dati.

Mentally: I always pushed myself to the limit. Studying my own vods for hundreds of hours to work on myself, reviewing tournament demos and my own team's vods para mahanap ng ma ayos and improve on, at sinabayan pa ng constant worry about my own streams and kung san kukuha ng pera to pay for bills bc I wasn't earning enough talaga.

Physically: Laging babad sa computer, which is not exactly the healthiest lifestyle I have to admit.

Emotionally: Competing was the only thing that I poured my heart into. Kahit it was short lived, I gained a lot of experience and did my best to catch up with the scene. I was so passionate about the game and addicted to the feeling of winning that it was the only thing I lived for. The team's Ls were my Ls too. And as an IGL, parang feeling ko it was all my fault bc it felt like I was always making the wrong calls and made everyone do the wrong things lang kaya kami natatalo. Which was unhealthy din na I took the blame for everything kahit di naman dapat.

I was aware of my own limitations back then and failed to relay that amongst my teammates, the org that I was representing and even my own friends na nag aalala na sakin. With that, I deeply apologize for the inconvenience I have caused to everyone and yet still grateful that I have been given the opportunity to compete and to everyone that have been supportive of my journey.

If given the chance to do it all over again, I would. Kasi I know na I have worked on myself everyday (both personality, financially at gameplay) and want to continue doing so.

Calling all Guild-Masters and Scholars! We are officially opening registrations for GUILDWARS season 1, where players would battle it out in 5v5 tournaments to see which guild is the best!

Here are important things you need to know

✅ SLP Rewards and SLP Burn! The Guilds of Lunacia would be battling it out to win a Huge SLP reward. A portion of the prize money would be burned to help stabilized the economy!

✅5v5 battles. Each guild are allowed register a minimum of 5 players to fight for their guild’s glory. Each round the guilds would send out one of their fighters in a best of 3 gauntlet until 1 guild emerge victorious!

✅ E-sports level tournament. We will be bringing the highest level production value possible to each and every one of our participants so that each guild would have a chance at the spotlight!
