This is my safe space to rant about “family!” My dad has a huge family locally and spread all over the south.
On his side of the family, locally, not ONE person has came to visit him.

Not one person stopped in to pray over him.

From my earliest memories, dad has always been the crutch that everyone leaned on for money, tools, auto repair, a mover, a place to stay, spiritual council or any helping hand someone needed, dad was always there to help out!

I feel some kind of way right now that I’ve shared emergency information to everyone on my private family page and not one person has made an effort to see him.

What happened to “family?!

Question for you ladies from Laurel.
We are getting ready to lose my mom to COPD I know this is an ugly process. What do I do as her daughter to make it through. The doctor had the end of life talk with me yesterday and I know once they extubate it is not immediate and based on what I have seen it is not going to be quick. How do you help families who are watching this?

In today’s dating news…

A “barbie doll” from Kansas City wanted to meet me in the next 2 weeks in Des Moines for breakfast. We had a great conversation, 3 hours on the phone and y’all know, I hate being on the phone but her and I are both “talkers!”

As it approached 3 hours on the phone, she asked about my hobbies and I mistakenly said I’m a book writer and I post various content on Facebook.

She didn’t understand what I meant. She said “as a 54 year old woman, I have more valuable things to do with my time than to sit on Facebook all day!”

I’m thinking “excuse me???”

Then she asked about who am i sharing my content with? I explained that it’s for Everyone to enjoy, some topics are serious, some are funny, etc etc etc

She said “I assume it’s all women right?”

I said “yes, but it’s not like I’m fu***ng them!” (Haha)

Then she came back with “I just don’t understand ….. i could pick up the phone and have a list of options if I wanted to!”

LADIES LET ME TELL YOU SOMETHING

Telling a man that you have “options” is not s flex!
