IMPORTANT COVID UPDATE FOR BIRMINGHAM

All planned procedures at a major hospital in Birmingham have been postponed because of a surge in admissions of Covid patients, as well as other seriously ill people.

The Queen Elizabeth Hospital said it had been an "extremely difficult" decision, which hadn't been taken lightly.

Patients affected until the end of November will be contacted by the hospital trust.

The decision will be reviewed on an on-going basis.

At midnight we are back into lockdown for a month. Hopefully it's not as much of a shock having been through this once already, but we know for some it's not going to be easy.

At times like this we'd like to be able to help but we aren't doing the heroic work of our medical staff, emergency services, shop workers and all the people who keep us going through lockdown. All we do is talk bo****ks in the hope it might be entertaining.

So here's what we can do. If you want to talk to someone coz you are bored or just need someone to listen, we can do that. Just let us know. And the other thing we can do, which we hope might help cheer you up a bit, is to keep making the podcast and give you half an hour each week where we take you away from your worries and maybe make you laugh or at least smile.

Just wow!!!
As you can imagine this morning is a little crazy here. Radio, local news and lots and lots of kind offers of help.

We have had money donated and also crisps and biscuits from Asda Donnington Wood!
We can now add extras to the lunch boxes and also have funds to do jacket potatoes for tea time too!

We’ve had many requests already from Newport and Telford, and about 40 boxes ordered so far for next week. That’s 40 children already having a lovely packed lunch all week long. Our local community are amazing 🥰

Cash donations can be dropped into either store and if you’d like to pay by bank transfer please give our office a call. 603747
My PayPal is [email protected] as lots of you know us personally feel free to use this. We will look at a crowdfunding page if needed. Community donations will be used to add extras to the lunch boxes.
