We love to start the day with a tasty breakfast, preferably done by professionals. Who we can trust more than a people who do it all day, so we ended up in Sol.

Our choice for this time:

This was the most delicious brioche we've eaten in Tbilisi which makes egg benedict so so much better. If you have a healthy vibe, a bowl with granola and berries would be a great pick. After binge-eating Georgia pastry, this was what the doctor ordered.

Soon we will become true experts in questions of lemonade because we take them anywhere we go. Here the lemonade was not an exception and was particularly tasty (it has even matched the shirt!)

Sol has all-day breakfasts, feel free to start the day with oatmeal or omelet there, even if it's 5 PM

We entered the gates of heaven when we went into the door with the sign Gardenia Shevardnadze. The smell of blossoming and flowers blooming makes it feel even more ethereal.

In the garden territories, there is a cafe, a greenhouse, a vintage shop with dishes, plants (a lot of plants!), and a pond with two adorable geese.

The place has such a magical atmosphere, you simply can't bear to leave without spending a day there. So did we.

We had been drinking tea, walking around slowly, and later got lunch. This is what we ordered:

✔️Fried elarji balls — 16 gel
✔️Matsoni cold soup — 12 gel

A special mention goes to herbal tea (all ingredients are picked right in this very garden), which can be accompanied by jam (tea 7 gel + jam 2 gel)

We thought it would be useful to share what is it like to stay at the less popular hotel such as Stamba and Rooms. Thus we were looking for an alternative and stumbled upon ZEG Hotel. It's located right in the heart of the city.

Let's start with prices: for 3 days back in April, we spent 530 gel.
The cost includes breakfast in a format of a decent buffet, however, they were offering only instant coffee. This is weird for a hotel of this scale and unacceptable for us as coffee maniacs. In this case, we were saved by Daily Grind nearby. Also, there was no elevator, which is nothing out of ordinary was small hotels.

The interior is modern with teal walls and bright accents scattered all over — we particularly liked orange armchairs. Cute, neat, and suitable for Instagram.

Please note that we booked a number with a terrace thinking it will have a view. Turned out it has a tall wall which blocks the view completely. This is a plus if you like naked sunbathing, but a downside if you don't want to look at the wall. Thus, we would advise simply taking a number with a window, it opens up to a Sololaki hill. It's beautiful.

Most of the sightseeing attractions are reachable by foot: peace bridge, Rike Park, sulfur baths, funicular, etc.

Overall, it's a great option both for tourists and people who just need to recharge for a couple of days. Totally recommend.

🎼Mgzavrebi Concert (17/06)

The big Summer concert is already at the door. One of the most important Georgian bands Mgzaverbi will perform in Mtasminda park below the Ferris wheel. Must-see.

Aim's of the party is raising money to help one Georgian family that I know since childhood. They have a 6 y. o. child Nikusha and are currently struggling financially.

🎷 Midsummer Jazz Fest (17-19/06)

The annual Jazz Festival will be held in Arto's Garden for the 3rd time. This is a joint special event of the famous Georgian musicians, which is highly important for the cultural life of our country.

We still can't wrap our minds around the fact that it's possible to enter a different country for 50 gel. This is the amount we paid from Tbilisi to Erevan. We crossed the border on the microbus which leaves from Avlabari metro station.

We spent there 3 days and created a list of places we visited and enjoyed:

Starting with accommodation, we stayed in the Tufenkian Historic Yerevan Hotel, located right in the city center. It's beautiful both inside and out, especially don't miss out on the stylish zone near the pool. Cost from 330 gel per night.

For coffee, breakfast and aesthetics definitely should visit AfroLab Roastery. Professionalism is beaming throughout even the smallest details. We ordered shrimps with a unique presentation, V60, and tart with berries. Magnificent.

To feel Armenian culture and taste delicious meat, we'd recommend Pandok Yerevan. During the evening, you will be entertained by musicians creating an emotional atmosphere.

Dalan Art Gallery and Abovyan 12 / Cafe Restaurant is a great choice if you wish to enter a small different world. You need to cross a souvenir shop in the arch. We ordered grilled trout, vegetables, and lemonade and were left satisfied. The place reminded us of Sofia Melnikova's douqan which we love and cherish.

For people who don't stop working even during trips, we would suggest visiting the coffee shop Lumen Coffee. They have great refreshing beverages.

Another recommendation for workaholics is Mirzoyan Library, there is a lovely yard with a cafe inside, each corner filled with remote workers typing their emails.

Armenian currency is a dram, which gives 0.0068 gel, so don't be scared if you see prices in the thousands.

For walks, the place to visit is Cascade Complex, which is an architectural complex with terraces, fountains, and sculptures. Monumental.

Hopefully, this list will help you start the discovery of Yerevan.

Mtatsminda is separate leisure in Tbilisi. A perfect place for hiking, strolling through a park or having dinner with a beautiful over-the-city view. A different adventure is reaching the mountain top. It's possible by foot or funicular, we have tried both.

The fare for the funicular is 20 gel for each person, ticket can be bought at the station, which is located near metro Rustaveli. 10 min walk.

Going by foot is challenging, to be honest, however, the view and nature around are definitely worth the sweat. (just try to find a comfortable pair of shoes for the occasion). At some point, the trail splits and a choice can be made either go in the direction of Sololaki or turtle lake.

On the way, there are viewing platforms and detailed information on the location and how much is left to go. An incredible way to spend your evening, enjoying the sunset simultaneously.

RadioCafe has caught our eye multiple times, especially these colorful khachapuris calling our names and asking us to come in. This time we couldn't walk past it and gave in.

The menu offers 5 types of each kind of khachapuri. We ordered 3 of them for 11 gel each:
✔️Spinach
✔️Blackharuli with black dough and shrimps
✔️Capricciosa with ham and mushrooms

They look perfect, which we must mention, however, taste-wise we have expected a bit more. Honorable mention goes to the one with shrimps, the taste was unique and definitely worth coming back for. Spinach and Capricciosa tasted more like a pizza, but you should try them, anyway.

We couldn't stop on khachapuri only and ordered fried sulguini (17 gel) as well. First of all, it stretches really well, and, secondly, in a combination with lingonberry sauce, it is delicious.

As a cherry on top, we had lemonade, which is a must in such scorching hot weather 🥵

Overall, Radio Cafe is a pleasant place with a terrace near a park, with its unique atmosphere. There you can hide from the sun, order a refreshing drink and enjoy the local lady playing the piano. All whilst eating a delicious meal.

Fresh Wraps

Open kitchen with the kindest woman at the register, she is the one who does the cooking as well. While she was packing the fries, one fell out, and she quickly ate it. The menu is diverse: chicken, pork, and falafel. We ordered pork with sauce and pomegranate - delicious.

We do not limit ourselves to Tbilisi and explore the regions as well. Our destination this time is Adjarian glamping Tago - heartbreakingly beautiful.

Natura in Adjara is magnificent. It's impossible to stop taking photos if lights and clouds keep moving to produce a view even more stunning than just a second ago.

Khinkali-looking houses are comfortable for two people with everything you might need inside - orthopedic mattresses, armchairs, rugs, lamps, anything really. Toilets and showers are located in a separate building, however, with this kind of panoramic view, you will definitely not mind it. Full connection with nature.

The kitchen serves only vegetarian dishes, which are delicious, like you visited your grandma in the village. Breakfast (30 gel) and dinner (35 gel) are all-you-can-eat buffets with a diverse menu. During lunch you can order from the restaurant menu, do not miss out on traditional Adjarian cuisine.

The accommodation cost is 100 gel per night, but please note there might be a price increase during the summer.
You can get there from Batumi by car 2.5h ride (transfer to glamping is 210 gel) or take a minibus (10 gel) and then funicular (5 gel). The route is not short but absolutely worth it

Recently we have prepared the list of our favorite vintage stores and today we would love to share the details about one of the most extravagant of them - Dezerter.tbilisi on Deserter Bazaar. It's quite tricky to find, feel free to check out their highlights on Instagram for a little help.

You will be met by a variety of unique pieces of clothing, however, please be aware it's not a selective vintage. Finding something exceptional will require a lot of digging.

The prices are fair, especially recommend checking out Hawaiian shirts, t-shirts, and outerwear (not like you'll need in a few couples of months, but it's worth the wait). There are a lot of y2k shoes and belts.

Many people choose Georgia for the wedding and there you can find original dresses for the occasion.

Our findings comprise shorts (10 gel), shirts (15 gel), and trousers for 25 gel. If you find any flaws in clothes, feel free to ask for a lower price.

The place is huge and going through multiple railings you can get tired. Deserter vintage has you covered - there is a couch you can rest on and a bar with cold drinks. After a small break, you have enough energy to continue searching for gems with techno music in the background.

A perfect time to visit the botanical garden is already here. Every little corner turned to green, but it's still not unbearably hot.

It's possible to reach the garden on foot, however, if you take the cableway from Rike Park, the view is definitely more exciting. Metro card can be used as a payment method.

The entrance costs 4 gel.
A Japanese garden is a must-see. Nearby there is a small field where folks are reading/laying/watching a sunset. Romantic.

Recently we have been exploring the Wine Factory and realized there are a lot of cool places. One of them — Holy. The perfect one, we must say, for drinking cocktails with an appetizer whilst holding a pleasant conversation.

Inside we were met by a minimalistic interior ornamented by works of modern artist Anna Pepe x forn Studio, aesthetic ceramic vases, and plants, a lot of plants (which is always a nice touch to add) met us.

We ordered dips (29 gel) with salmon, beetroot, hummus, and liver paste. Especially the ones with salmon and humus were incredible.
Our eyes landed on the salad with crispy mushrooms (21 gel) and an extremely long eggplant in tempura (22 gel) 🍆

The best part was the cocktails (each 20 gel)
✔️Coconut martini — simply perfect
✔️Passion flower — insta-worthy and delicious
✔️St Maria — for sweet-teeth

Be careful, cocktails are so good one might not be enough and you will wish to have more and more. In the conclusion, stylish and pleasant place for a relaxed evening. Definitely worth coming back to explore the rest of the cocktail menu🌝

Rainy days in Tbilisi leave us only with three moods — lying under a blanket, relaxing in sulfur baths, or going to museums. Let's talk about the latter.

The most recognizable artist from Georgia is obviously Nico Pirosmani. He was painting with oil on all the possible surfaces, including cardboard and tin. His main style was primitivism and his works can be found in the National Gallery.

This creamy burrata can be found in of our favorite coffee shops - Shukura • შუქურა • Coffee • Humans, Abashidze. The place is cozy and as a cherry on top, there is a green terrace.

Burrata is huge and nourishing, we couldn't even finish it - feel free to share it with your companion.
Dried tomatoes perfectly complement the dish making you come back for it over and over again.

The weekend is right around the corner, thus we have prepared the list of events you can visit.

We would like to start with an extremely important charity event that aims to raise funds for the medical expenses of a child.

8-year-old Dati was hit by a car in March and now is in Israel with his parents, receiving treatment for multiple injuries he had from the accident. Unfortunately, he had undergone a leg amputation as well.

More than 40 DJs will play their sets in Austin Bar in the time frame of 24 hours to help raise funds for Dati.
The ticket costs 15 gel and all funds will go towards his treatment.

There is a huge variety of eco-products for both home and beauty, you can gift-boxes and on the second floor, there is even a second-hand store.

✔️Tongue Cleaner — 10 gel

The recycling point is located right in the city center, which is extremely convenient. Please note that the owners of the store kindly ask to bring the goods for processing between the 5th and 10th or between 20th and 25th of each month, to avoid cluttering up the space.

It is possible to recycle plastic, paper, glass, aluminum and tin cans, and plastic cups.

A bagel place hiding in the garage— Bagelin - ბეიგელინი

These bagels are perfect for breakfast, however, we are not limiting ourselves nor you to the stereotype — you can eat them all day long. There are 8 types of bagels: sesame, salt, adjika and sulguni, cinnamon, classic, etc.

You start with choosing a base and then move on to the filling:

✔️the big smoke — 12 gel (eggplant and cream cheese)
✔️the new york — 18 gel (salmon, cheese and vegetables)
✔️the hot mess — 19 gel (scramble, cheese, salsa and jalapeno pepper)

Mixed with beer, ginger lemonade, or cold brew it is a match made in heaven.

You can vegan option 🌱 as well or take a bagel without a filling.

It's better to come around breakfast time when the bagels are right from the oven. The first time we were there, it was almost a closing time and only frozen bagels were left - if they were delicious, imagine how they would taste like freshly baked 🤯

Inside there is a shop Saidanaa - საიდანაა with natural sauces, granola, craft beer, and wine, it's hard to leave empty-handed.

The Bagelin is suitable for work, there are lo-fi beats in the background and enough sockets to plug in your laptop.

Pike does not talk only about food - we are fresh urban media after all. So today we will talk about beauty and start this conversation with a beauty salon - G.Bar Tbilisi

I went there to get my nails done and was surprised by the easy booking process. You simply have to use their website, choose a specialist, time and you are ready to go, which is not something you can usually see in Tbilisi.

The salon is a Ukrainian franchise and both the service and the website are multilingual - Georgian, English, and Russian.

Everything was amazing, I liked the manicure and the employees there are lovely. A combined manicure with regular nail polish (not gel) cost 45 gel.

Inside there is a shop as well, which offers beauty products, such as a Davines brand that I have not seen in Tbilisi before.

Pizza worth coming back for - La Gamba

The first time we came to La Gamba intending to shoot on the terrace, but, sadly, both tables were occupied. This way, we decided to have a take-way pizza and go to the nearest Vera Park. While it was getting done, we bought red currant lemonade for 8 gel, cold and fresh. Perfect for hot weather.

Now, let's talk about pizza🍕
✔️Margherita (veg) — 18 gel
✔️Puglia (meat) — 26 gel
✔️Estate (vegan) — 25 gel

Without a doubt, Margherita is a classic and here it's delicious. Puglia pizza with meat and stracciatella was fantastic, which to our dismay, had been misshaped by our eager ways to carry the boxes.

Without further ado, we decided to go back and take one more, with a different color (not red). In the meantime, the tables had become vacant as well. The vegan variation with capers, olives, and zucchini cream was absolutely breathtaking👌🏼 Must-eat. Especially, with a combination of club mate drink.

Delivery is an option, however, to truly understand what Neapolitan pizza is, it's better to eat it as soon as it's out of the oven.
