Kitten update! Boy started worrying his surgery site, so he has to live in the cone of shame! When we came home from the vet, Girl didn't recognize him and hissed and batted him away! He was so sad! But that made him cuddlier with us whereas he was the more standoffish one before.

Now they're back to being best furriends!

NOTE FROM DOUG:
Before we get started, I forgot to plug Alice's band's performance this coming Sunday, because I'm the worrrrst. TMSB will be performing as part of a John Lennon tribute night at Bokeh Lounge in Evansville, IN, this coming Sunday, December 8th. The event is from 6PM until 11PM, with TMSB set to perform around 7:45PM. This will be a fundraiser by Veterans for Peace to benefit Doctors Without Borders and Save the Children.

And now, on to this week's episode.

Well, it's Alice's turn to go on vacation. Er, be out sick. So William/Will/A Random Fellow is filling in to try to make sure Doug doesn't screw everything up while she's gone. Doug has a game prepared, but Will is ready and has brought along his own. Who takes control of the show? It's the ultimate battle of wills. Well, battle of Will and Doug, rather.

Celebrated Norm Macdonald's (and 's) birthdays yesterday, October 17, by wearing a hat and going to Denny's and watching Norm's seminal classic, Dirty Work (Alice for the first time)!

The day's genesis is a reference to the 2006 Carson Daly interview where Norm said, "Man, this is the greatest gig in the world, being alive. You get to eat at Denny's, wear a hat, whatever you wanna do."

How terribly like us to get the keys to our new home and promptly get locked out? Our realtor Brandon Buck got the brilliant idea of zooming in on one of the photos we took (not pictured), which showed the garage code on a small manila folder!

We're really enjoying having a dishwasher and parking in a garage, and who knew we'd love low ceilings that contain cool/heat (sorry tall friends). suits us 😸
