RACE TO TOP GAME
Use it in any class!
Ask a question and 2 students or 2 teams race to answer. The first one to answer gets to move their character 1 step upward!
To avoid chaos or chorus answers, make the 2 students do rocks paper scissors and the winner answers the question. If he is right, he goes up. Make them do rock paper scissors every time you ask a question
- a combination of luck and wit!
RETURN GAME (ORIGINALLY ROLL AND READ GAME)
Return Game
With pockets
Reusable
Each number has 6 pocket cards (total of 36 cards)
Each number has 1 return card
1 die shaker
How to use:
Insert the target words, questions or pictures in the pockets
Put the cards upside down on the table or floor
Students shake the die and choose a card with the same number as the number on the die.
If they are able to read, answer the question or name the picture, they keep the card.
If they get the return card, they return all the cards they have.
Set a timer or continue the game until all rhe cards are gone.
Order Fish and Serve
Another variation of the fishing activity.
I had only 1 spatula so I couldn’t make them fry the fish.
Someone orders and the other 2 students race to fish and serve it.
We had this activity today. I just made this up. They are supposed to fish, fry and serve it. I gave each student 2 minutes to do it. The goal is for them to read, identify and get used to the target words.
