New Episode!!!

This week we discuss the tempestuous relationship between religion and violence throughout history, dating back to the violent crusades led by the Catholic Church to the “War on Terror” that has falsely villainized the Islamic faith and Middle Eastern culture.

Laura and Jasmin discuss the tempestuous relation between religion and violence and why repetitive events in history have used religion in order to justify and validate mass atrocities.

“All too often, when we see injustices, both great and small, we think, That's terrible, but we do nothing. We say nothing. We let other people fight their own battles. We remain silent because silence is easier. Qui tacet consentire videtur is Latin for 'Silence gives consent.' When we say nothing, when we do nothing, we are consenting to these trespasses against us.”

Today is not the day to remain silent but to use our voices and stop this injustice that is long overdue. It is in educating and discussing with others how we become the change we all seek. We cannot let this issue be forgotten and we are here in total support.
