Celebrating 20 years today with my hubby…whew, time has flown by (and wedding photography has changed 🤣). We’ve know each other for a quarter of a century….what?!? The best days of my life have been spent with this man and I can’t wait to spend the rest of my days with him! ❤️

While visiting family this weekend we stopped at this prairie church where my husband’s great great grandma and great grandma (among other extended family members) are buried. Around 160 are interred here and it is taken care of by a local rancher (hubby’s uncle) who also has family buried there. We showed the kiddos and talked about how our ancestors traveled here to put down roots and stake a claim…how dangerous it was and how strong they had to be to endure life here on the prairie of SD. There is something about being in this sacred place and looking out across the sky that reminds us of how blessed we are and I was happy the kiddos were able to experience this.

It was an off kind of day today…kids didn’t have school and weather interrupted some travel plans. But I can always find some gorgeous photos, so I’m gonna leave this right here. ❤️
