I’m excited to announce The InspireU Network is honoring the one and only Summer Jackson with The InspireU Resilient Award.

Summer Jackson is an award-winning TV journalist, host at Atlanta News First (CBS affiliate in Atlanta), correspondent, producer, and a professor at Clark Atlanta University.

She is an energetic and outgoing news and lifestyle journalist with a wide range of television experience in front of the camera as a host, but behind the scenes, she has experienced significant loss.

Last year, Summer lost her husband and became a single mom to two children.

Despite her grief, she continued to show up on our television screens with grace.

I’ve watched her from afar and have been inspired by her continuous drive to show up for others even when she may have needed time for herself.

She has exuded resilience and perseverance, and on October 7, she will be honored at the inaugural awards ceremony and fundraising gala.
