We all love staying in our comfort zones. It feels like being wrapped in our duvets on a rainy day, why would we ever want to leave? But one of the best feelings in life is to do things we didn’t think we were capable of ever doing and that push outside of our comfort zone, no matter how scary, how uncertain and how uneasy it may feel will open us up to a world of opportunities that we didn’t know ever existed!

Toxic positivity is the excessive and ineffective overgeneralization of a happy, optimistic state across any situation. It results in the denial, minimization, and invalidation of the emotional experience that we’re supposed to have as humans.
Just like anything done in excess, when positivity is used to cover up or silence the human experience, it is essentially toxic. Emotions like jealousy, anger, resent and greed are part of the human experience. By giving ourselves the freedom of not being “positive vibes all day,” we allow ourselves to live our most authentic lives 💪🏼

Our reality is created by what we pay attention to and focus on so why is it that we often find ourselves overthinking about the worst case scenario?🤷🏽‍♀️
In both real life and on social media, if we get one bad comment, it tends to be what we choose to focus on over the hundreds of positive comments or words of encouragement that we’re told. Learning to train our awareness to see the good in ourselves and everything around us let’s us attract more of that into our lives and not dwell on what we don’t have or what we are not🧘👊
