Gupkar Awami Ittehad announced on Tuesday that PDP President Mehbooba M***i and coalition spokesperson and CPI (M) senior leader Muhammad, led by Dr Farooq Abdullah, will address an all-party meeting convened by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi on June 24. A team consisting of Yusuf Tarigami will participate. Speaking to media after a meeting of leaders of political parties at his residence, National Conference President and head of Gupkar Ittehad, Dr. Farooq Abdullah said, Dr. Farooq said, "We are confident that we will take our stand before the Prime Minister and the Home Minister." He said, "When the meeting is over, we will tell you what happened there. We will inform you about what we said and what we responded to. The Gupkar Alliance is an alliance of six parties in Jammu and Kashmir, including the NC and the PDP, which have declared Section 370 null and void. It was formed after the decision to divide Kashmir into two central areas. The group's public stance is the restoration of the special status of the 'state' of Jammu and Kashmir. Replying to a question about those who represented the alliance at the meeting, Farooq said that he, Mehbooba M***i and MY Tarigami would attend the meeting. "There should be no misunderstanding that we will sign their agenda. We are going to see what is proposed, if it is in the interest of the people," said Tarigami, a spokesman for the coalition. They say 'yes' and if there is anything else, the big answer is 'no'. PAGD member Muzaffar Shah said that no compromise will be made on Article 370 and Article 35A which will be signed on August 5, 2019. It was canceled while mainstream leaders were also imprisoned, including the arrest or detention of thousands across Jammu and Kashmir.
