Dear Community members,

Earlier today we had a meeting with the Union Leader Chandbibi Zaidi along with the pallbearers of our Doongerwadi in regards to the handling of Parsi/Irani Covid bodies. Certain requests were made by the staff in regards to their safety along with their families. After a healthy discussion and agreeing with their requests, we are pleased to inform you that the pallbearers have graciously and selflessly agreed to lend their services to give “khand” to a Parsi/Irani covid victim.

Henceforth, god forbid a Parsi/Irani passes due to Covid, his/her body can get taken to the Doongerwadi and consigned to the dokhma that has been identified only for Covid victims.

Dear Community members,

We have just finished our meeting with Mr. Prashant Gaikwad, BMC Asst. Commissioner D Ward. The meeting was successful.

Mr. Gaikwad patiently heard us and immediately instructed his staff to prepare an official letter from the BMC granting permission for Parsi/Irani covid victims to be consigned to the Covid Dokhma at the Doongerwadi.

We thank Mr. Gaikwad for his swift action in this matter and also thank the BMC for their utmost cooperation.

Hear Trustee Viraf Mehta give a detailed explanation on the conversion of Leave & Licence to Tenancy. He clears all doubts on stamp duty, the Parsi only covenant as well as tenancy for Wadia Baugs. His explanation is to the point and silences all his critics, including Noshir Dadrawala whose recent voice note was sent deliberately to mislead the community.

The community needs to ask:
Why is there such opposition by some candidates to convert leave and licenses to tenancy especially since it has been a demand of BPP licensees since 2008?

A big Thank You to over 130 residents who made time for us and came for our meeting. Even though we had to turn the mic off post 10pm the enthusiasm you showed us by staying past 11pm asking us questions was truly heartwarming.
We spoke at length of the redevelopment of your colony. The past impressions that were clarified, the present clarifications that were needed and the future ex*****on of the project.
We are also glad that we were able to clear the miss information that was being spread by those who came before us.

Am amazing turnout of almost 150 individuals applauded the KOM-ni-UNITY team led by Chairman Armaity Tirandaz. Local resident Rumy Zarir has clearly done wonders for their colony and even labelled as “Aapro Rumy” by many of the residents. Despite all the seats being full, throngs of people stood along the side and back just to hear team Kom-ni—Unity speak and pave the wave for a new era at the BPP. We Thank all the residents for our meeting and hearing us on a busy Wednesday evening and hope we could answer all your questions.
