We're finishing up this week's episode, which brings all the ghost vibes for Halloween πŸŽƒ -- in the meantime, have you read Fangs by Sarah Andersen? It's an adorable graphic novel about the relationship between a vampire and a werewolf; totally sweet spoopy vibes!

I (Julia) have started my fall TBR list, and this feels like a perfect start. I'm less than a hundred pages in, but I'm really enjoying it so far! It's the story of five generations of witches, and how they navigate the social and cultural forces that oppose them. So far, Louisa Morgan's writing is solemn and detailed. She writes her women strong and gentle and powerful.

How are you starting fall? Any books you re-read in the fall? πŸ‚

Current Read
Unlikely Animals by Angie Hartnett

I love a quirky book that tackles difficult topics with understated humor and compassionate touch. This book tackles dementia, the opiod crisis, aimlessness in young adulthood, a missing person, and strained family relationships. But there are also ghosts, small animal hallucinations and a hilarious 5th grade class. Unlikely Animals is weird in the best possible way. I'm loving it so far.

I (Julia) have been reading a lot of historical fiction this spring, specifically from Renaissance Italy. I recently finished The Vatican Princess by C. W. Goner. Its the story of Lucrezia Borgia, and I have mixed feeling on it.
