Biologist Explains WHY KILLING Bass is a GOOD Thing!
We are back with another live Alex Rudd Fishing podcast recording! In this episode we are joined by Garrett Stamport.
Garrett Stamport is a fisheries biologist with a degree in Fisheries, Aquaculture, and Aquatic science from Texas A&M University in College Station. During his undergrad, he spent 3.5 years working as a research technician at the Aquaculture, Research and Teaching Facility where he developed skills in fish husbandry, disease treatment, larval rearing, aquatic food chain development, fisheries management, and water quality analysis. In addition to his research role, Garrett also conducted water quality analysis for the Aquatic Diagnostics Laboratory. The experience he gained from these positions led him to pursue a career in private water management, where he provided management services to private clients for 2 years while in college. After graduating top of his class, he began working for Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service as the lake management program specialist, educating the public on pond and lake management strategies. At this time, Garrett co-taught the pond and lake management course at Texas A&M for the Rangeland, Wildlife, and Fisheries Management (RWFM) department. He now serves as the head biologist and herbicide specialist for Pristine Pond Solutions. Garrett’s main role within the company is consulting with clients on fisheries management, lake stocking, herbicide application for aquatic vegetation control, and water quality diagnostics and analysis. His goal as a biologist for Pristine Pond Solutions is to develop relationships with clients by providing the highest quality service and creating real solutions to their problems.
