I had the pleasure of interviewing Dave along with the other Manhattans group members on Dec 23, 2021.

My fondest thoughts of Dave was when he told the story of The Manhattans' 1st (and most memorable) trip to South Africa. He and Blue were the last two from the group who hadn't made it into the van before the crowd of excited fans gathered! Dave and Blue grabbed each other's hands and ran towards the vehicle!! Dave jumped into the van thinking Blue was behind him. To Dave's surprise, Blue didn't quite make it! The crowd had picked Blue up above their heads (not to hurt him--they wanted to touch him) and carried him through the cheering wave of sweet chaos, celebrating their catch of one of the members!! Somehow, Blue managed to break free, and literally fell into the van, minus one shoe!!👞 Oh, my goodness...THAT was a gut-buster of laughter for us all!!

Everyone at Legendary Hitmakers and ICONS honor that moment and memory of Dave! We are praying for Troy, Gerald and their families.🙏
