We are proud to promote 'Love's Selfish Edges', a collection of poetry by Portland-based poet David Audley. His work is evocative and sensual in its mix of honesty and brutality about the love, lust, and recriminations that so often define modern romance. This work is available on Am. Az. On.

Were Ross and Rachel on a break? Let’s ask AI.

We have burning questions. Questions we really need to know the answer to. Like, is a hamburger a sandwich? What is better than sliced bread? Are Trix only for kids? Thankfully, we now live in a marvelous society drowned in immediate access to data. So, let’s answer these questions, once and for all, with the use of AI. Welcome to, Conversations with AI.

Were Ross and Rachel on a break? Let’s ask AI.

Whether Ross and Rachel were on a break when Ross cheated on her is a matter of debate that has been raging among fans of the sitcom Friends for decades. The episode in question, "The One Where Ross and Rachel Take a Break," aired in 1997 and saw the couple have a fight after Rachel learns that Ross slept with another woman, Chloe, while they were on a break. Rachel insists that they were not on a break, while Ross maintains that they were.
The show's creators have weighed in on the debate, with Marta Kauffman saying that she believes Ross and Rachel were on a break, while David Schwimmer, who played Ross, has said that he believes they were not. Ultimately, it is up to each individual fan to decide what they believe.

There are several factors to consider when trying to answer the question of whether Ross and Rachel were on a break. First, it is important to define what a break means. In the context of the show, it seems to mean that the couple is taking a temporary hiatus from their relationship. However, it is not clear what this means in terms of their boundaries. For example, is it okay for one person to sleep with someone else while they are on a break?

Second, it is important to consider the context of the fight that led to Ross sleeping with Chloe. Rachel was upset that Ross had invited his ex-wife, Carol, to his apartment without telling her. She felt that this was a betrayal of trust and told Ross that she needed a break from their relationship. However, it is not clear whether Rachel meant that she wanted to take a break from the relationship altogether or just from talking to Ross.

Ultimately, the question of whether Ross and Rachel were on a break is a matter of interpretation. There is no right or wrong answer, and each fan is free to decide what they believe.

If Ross and Rachel were on a break, was it right for Ross to sleep with another girl?

Whether or not Ross was right to sleep with another girl while he and Rachel were on a break is a matter of opinion. Some people believe that it is never okay to sleep with someone else while you are in a relationship, even if you are on a break. Others believe that it is okay to sleep with someone else if you have explicitly agreed with your partner that you are taking a break from the relationship.

In the case of Ross and Rachel, it is not clear whether they had explicitly agreed that they were taking a break from the relationship. Rachel said that she needed a break, but it is not clear whether she meant that she wanted to take a break from the relationship altogether or just from talking to Ross. Ross, on the other hand, interpreted Rachel's request as meaning that they were taking a break from the relationship.

Ultimately, whether or not Ross was right to sleep with another girl while he and Rachel were on a break is a matter of interpretation. There is no right or wrong answer, and each person must decide what they believe is right for them.

However, it is important to note that even if Ross and Rachel were on a break, it does not mean that Ross was not being hurtful or disrespectful to Rachel. When you are in a relationship with someone, you make a commitment to them. Even if you are taking a break, you should still be mindful of their feelings and avoid doing anything that could hurt them.

Was Ross' apology to Rachel a real apology?

Whether or not Ross' apology to Rachel was a real apology is a matter of opinion. Some people believe that it was a genuine apology, while others believe that it was not.
There are several factors to consider when trying to decide whether or not Ross' apology was genuine. First, it is important to consider what Ross said in his apology. He admitted that he was wrong to sleep with Chloe and that he regretted it. He also said that he loved Rachel and wanted to be with her.

Second, it is important to consider Ross' actions after he apologized. He did not try to justify his actions or make excuses. He also did not try to blame Rachel for what happened. Instead, he took responsibility for his actions and tried to make amends.
Finally, it is important to consider Rachel's reaction to Ross' apology. She seemed to accept his apology and was willing to forgive him. However, she also said that she needed time to process what had happened.

Ultimately, whether or not Ross' apology was genuine is up to each individual to decide. There is no right or wrong answer.
Personally, I believe that Ross' apology was genuine. He seemed to be truly sorry for what he had done, and he was willing to do whatever it took to make things right. However, I also understand why Rachel might have been hesitant to accept his apology. She had been hurt deeply by what he had done, and it would take time for her to heal.

Poet-Land is pleased to support the art of local poets, writers, and creatives. Today we are presenting The Calliope Project by local poet David Audley, a project that speaks to the vulnerability of words and the transitory nature of art by crafting original poems painted on models that are then erased , leaving only a digital memory. The poet worked with Kira Floofie to create this first installment.

The project was brought together through the support of Poet-Land and The Marais Foundation.

New poetry:

I Am They

I suppose
lavender
was the right choice
to follow the hues
from blues to pinks
while trying on the dresses
as shades of myself
trying to find
the one
that fit
or even just didn’t lay
like a sack
or scratch my skin
because they were just wrong
wrong in size
in color
and in meaning for me
each dress was like
a different me
and maybe
perhaps
I took a little from each
improvised
to make the next
as I found me
in the discarded fabrics
a history of loves and losses
each pointing away from there and then
to something else
all together
uncomfortable
leaving the discomfort
of each stage
shedding the scales
of being too q***r for women
and not gay enough
for men
stunningly both too masculine
and inadequately masculine
depending on the eyes
and from this vexation
this moment of pure
irritation
of not being seen
yet still being defined
rose a truth
that I am neither man
nor gay or woman
not enough or lacking
but sufficient
full and complete
me
three parts A
mixed
with 3 parts B
to make a whole
that is balanced
but not defined
by a He or a She
exploring
outside the space
where others live
to be a Me that is
defined by the power
the positive
of neither
and finding the solace of the soul
and the stillness of the heart
where neither lives and loves
never alone
and never aside
but very firmly
They

Poem 400

I read Camus and de Beauvoir
for pleasure
I listen to classical, jazz, ska, and punk
because I love the dissonance
I prefer coffee and ci******es for breakfast
while you choose toast and avacado
I am broody, artistic, dark-humored, and laconic
I will sit silently next to you for hours
not because you bore me
but because I have other things to think about
and you won't know the difference
I am emotional, vulnerable, and overly self-critical
and yet you'll find me strangely addictive
I will listen to you
and you will think I genuinely care
but I am a writer
so you will inevitably end up in a poem
or short story that you'll regret
I am also q***r and feminine
and will probably look better in your panties
which I will steal and wear
under my suit
I will love bomb you
and then retreat as soon as you show emotion
I will text you thirty times a day
until I don't text you at all
it's not because I am afraid you will break my heart
it's because my heart is already broken
from the one love I had
and lost
and will regret until the day I die
you will always wonder if you are enough
and I will know you're not
but never be honest enough to tell you
in the end, I will console myself
that I am someone's glass of whiskey
but not everybody's cup of tea
