Almost everything in life is a numbers game. We rarely get the success we want on the first try.

Just take a look at these successful people:

J.K. Rowling – Her first Harry Potter book was rejected by 12 different publishers before finally being accepted for publication.

Thomas Edison – He made at least 1,000 unsuccessful attempts before successfully inventing the light bulb

Colonel Sanders - It took him 1,009 attempts to perfect his fried chicken recipe before finally getting it right and founding KFC

Now let’s take a look at more relatable examples:

Applying for a job – You might need to attend to 10 interviews before landing your next job

Exercise – You might need to log about 100 consistent hours in the gym before you see a significant improvement in your physique

Sales – You might need to say your sales pitch 1,000 times before successfully closing a deal with a big-ticket client.

Mastering your craft – It might take you 10,000 hours to be a master of something (Malcolm Gladwell)

Achieving success requires “quantity” in terms of consistent effort, persistence, and failures. The faster we accept this fact, the faster we develop the mental and emotional muscle we need to pursue our goals with tenacity and resilience, even in the face of obstacles and setbacks.
