A Dog’s Tale of Gratitude🐾🐕❤️

Hi there! My name is Max, and I’m one of the many dogs living in a place called the informal settlement. Life here isn’t always easy, but I want to share something special with you.
Every day, my friends and I feel the same things as all the other happy dogs out there—we crave love, care, and a good belly rub. Unfortunately, not all of us are as lucky. Some of my pals are chained up and can’t wander around to find food or a cozy spot to rest. It can be tough.
But there’s hope! Every Saturday, kind people from Maluti Animal Care and Shelter come to visit us. They bring water, food, and a lot of love. They check on our wounds and make sure we’re healthy. When they give us a full belly, it feels like we’re the most special dogs in the world!
They even help us by making our chains a little longer so we can move around better. If the chains hurt us, they put on soft collars instead. It may not be perfect, but it helps.
We know they can’t take the chains off, but just having someone who cares means everything to us. We may not have the life of a pampered pet, but with the help of Maluti Animal Care, we feel cared for and appreciated.
So, from all of us dogs on the hill, thank you for supporting them! We may not have a voice, but we feel the love, and it makes a big difference in our lives. Please keep helping us and remember that we all deserve a bit of kindness and attention.

This beautiful black tame cat with a collar was found on Karee Ave Harrismith in Kingshill. He is currently at Maluti Animal Care Shelter. He misses his family and is just lying in his igloo. Please contact us so he can be reunited with his family.
