Stoked to have contributed a mix to the new Insession series. I had a lot of fun with this one: it's one half hazy 120 bpm stuff (mostly UK bass); one half manic 160 (footwork, jungle etc).

So pleased to announce that I will be co-hosting a new radio show on Mouthful radio with the amazing Ludus. The show will occur fortnightly on Sunday at 3pm, with me and Ludus alternating shifts. The loose MO for the show is to play some of the experimental and/or super mellow stuff unsuited either clubs or on commercial radio. I am particularly keen to delve into more of the spacious, day dreamy, and murky analogue stuff that now gets me through my week.

My first mix will air today and it is 100%ish ambient with some beats at the end.Thank you so much to the folks at Mouthful – particularly Jack. Your administrative skills are exceptional and you are doing fantastic work. I’m so stoked to be involved.

Some genuine nostalgia relistening to this. Fond memories of the early to mid 2010s: thrashing Hessle Audio, Blawan etc with my Sunday night crew at BaseFM, and working all night on assignments.

So happy to announce that I have a track featured on Strange Behaviour’s new tape compilation ‘Ambient Maladies’. The comp features a wonderful range of Wellington artists, from veteran legends like Jet Jaguar to fantastic newcomers like Ludus, Current Bias and Japes. It nicely captures the edge of the world moodiness of deep winter Wellington. I feel so privileged to feature alongside these artists, and so lucky to have a stable life where I can make and release music. Special thanks to label head Paul Berrington and the rest of the crew behind the scenes - it really looks and sounds great!

We're almost ready to go with another episode of Behaving Strangely. This show features some stunning new releases, a couple of staples, and a beautiful guest mix from Jerry Watts.

Jerry is a Wellington-based DJ and producer. Formerly from Auckland, he hosted a show on Auckland mainstay BaseFM, and has released several tracks with the Auckland based label Tubertechno. Jerry also recently lent his production talents to an official remix of Taite Prize nominee Dudley Benson. Benson describing his remix as a “ten-minute cluster that to me is like a universe intricately imploding…one of the best I've ever had." Jerry will soon be featuring on another Dudley Benson remix EP alongside Totems and the Berlin-based composer Mike Majkowski. He is also working on a solo EP for release this year. Today’s mix includes solids from Samo DJ, Kyle Hall, Call Super, Autechre (æ) and Harold Budd. You can hear Jerry's mix at 6pm.
