Its all about the story of a family that controlled by their father, a retired ilocano policeman. This film explores themes of power, control, and abuse within the household, and it is known for its intense and suspenseful storytelling.
The movie is often considered an allegory for the abuses and excesses of power during the regime of Ferdinand E. Marcos, Sr., who was the President of the Philippines from 1965 to 1986.
