There's this rule that says "a wedding ring should cost 3 month salary of the man" this rule originated from a marketing campaign by De Beers a diamond company in the 1930s.

This rule actually makes a lot of sense and I think men should pay a significant amount of money for their soon to be wife.

Three reasons why:

1. It is to show your commitment and love to your partner by investing a significant amount of money as a symbol of your relationship.

2. It is to test if you have the capacity to provide for your partner. (If di mo afford na alagaan sarili mo it just shows that you can't also afford to take care of another person)

3. Is to show sacrifice. Sacrificing three month worth of salary is just an exhibit that you may be able to sacrifice the 9 month pregnancy stage of your wife, sacrifice years of sleepless nights in raising a family and a lifetime sacrifice to be with the love of your life.

If you're a woman, wag kang mahiya magdemand ng wedding ring. BECAUSE YOUR LIFE IS THE PRICE. A MAN TO BE WITH YOU FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE IS THE PRICE AND NO AMOUNT OF MONEY CAN BUY THAT FROM YOU.
