Here is our first release on 459 records, this has been a couple years in the making so we hope you enjoy it as we feel it's something different from what most labels are doing atm :)

SCLDN-002 is out mid January… Jimi B & Vers-e-tyle. Ruff, no anthems Jungle…

You probably missed this EP release but I feel this is the best tune i've made because it feels like the early 90's hip-hop that made me feel in love with sample based music. Do'nt get me wrong, this is straight up DARKSIDE HARDCORE JUNGLE TEKNO.. It just feels like late 80's / early 90's rap to me :)

So, we have an update on SCLDN—002…

Turns out for this second release we have my favourite jungle producer, Jimi B and me going head to head on 2 tunes each for the 4 track EP. 4 original jungle slammers.

The tunes he’s sent me made me delete the 2 I had planned for the plate and straight back to the drawing board, they were that good.

Can’t wait to share them 😊

Just an update on SCLDN-001…

All orders will be sent out this Friday, I was waiting until the heatwave passed and planned to send Monday, then I woke up on Monday with a flu or something so have been stuck indoors etc… Working and playing too hard last few weeks if im honest and having a tooth pulled out last week didn’t help..

Morning everyone, I have safely recieved delivery of SCLDN-001, I will be posting your orders out Monday/Tuesday.

Thank you for your patience with the pre-release, I truly appreciate the orders of my first release on this new label.

The people who ordered this pre release will be going onto “the list” and will forever have random things posted to them and “dubs” may/will turn up sporadically in your email inboxes, thank you, you guys have made the beginning of this journey possible and have allowed the foundation to be layed 😊❤️🙏

I have some exciting remixes and new releases lined up for the near future and even a sister label that organically appeared during a conversation with a legend of our scene while disussing a remix. Some have heard the remix already, it’s pretty special. More on that later…

Just an update on SCLDN-001

The test presses were approved a few weeks ago and I have been told by the plant that they will be shipping the records to me on the 30th of this month.

We use a plant in the UK so it shouldn’t take long for them to arrive. I will be aiming to get them out to you as soon as I recieve delivery.

So, hmm, I want to say this as professionaly as possible without any personal connotations..

Unfortunately i’ve had to make the decision to cancel the new night “vers-e-tyle & friends in Greenwich..

Even though we had two meetings and discussed the music policy and the consistency needed to launch a night like this, it seems there has been some misunderstanding and I guess its my fault for using a gentlemans agreement and not writing contracts etc, so that’s my fault..

If anyone wants to know the details and reasons for cancelling please message me and i’ll explain but it doesn’t feel right to post them publicly..

So, the night is cancelled, i’ll still be doing the odd birthday down there so if you ever want a birthday with beer, pizza and jungle etc, please let me or the venue know.

So for now, i’ll be looking for some venues to do one off nights at in the same format.. Or if we end up doing a weekly thing again, I will get everything agreed on paper before launching 😊

We live and learn… Once again, apologies to anyone who planned to check it out someday, hopefully we’ll figure something else out soon..

Bigup the DJ Marsham Steve Marsham, for being the one and only friend to make it down for a set, there were plenty planned over the next few months, we actually had a wikid day and I will edit and post the podcast on youtube very soon…

Oh, that’s something that came out of it, I will be continuing the podcast series regularly with the people who wete planned to play at the night.. I want to dont this as I feel that there’s a whole layer of djs in the scene that put so much hard work in but don’t really get the credit they deserve so it will be fun to find more out about them etc…

So, with this new weekly night, there will be a YouTube series to go with it, the guest I bring down for a set each week will be getting taken for a free late lunch somewhere on the high street near the venue, and then to a record store where I’ll buy them a record of their choice (ideas for local record shops and food spots welcome)…

During all of this i’ll do a casual interview with them to find out their influences etc and we will review the restaurant we eat at, at the same time… Will upload the videos weekly on the SampleCultureLND Youtube channel..

Hopefully we will be also doing some live Radio and live steaming of the guest mix on infrared.fm and the SCLDN Youtube page..

Looking forward to a new, fun journey with some friends i’ve met along the way…

Hi everyone, starting this Saturday the 3rd June 2023, I will be hosting a new weekly Saturday night called Vers-e-tyle & Friends.

I will be bringing different friends down to have a mix and we will be playing all the new Jungle, Breakbeat Hardcore & DnB plus some Garage/Speed Garage early on and of course all of your favourite Oldskool records from the 90's...

This regular night will be like a house party except we have great local beers on tap, fresh cocktails and an awesome Pizza oven, and we don't have to clean up in the morning haha!

Hope to see you down there soon, it's a great spot and the owners are really cool...

First mate coming down for a mix next week will be the one and only Steve Marsham!!! I'll be on my own for the opening night this Saturday :)
